Sometimes when I edit a post on one page and save the changes (this is AFTER I have finished saving my changes), I can't press the "home" or "end" buttons to go up to the top or bottom of the page. It'll probably work itself out...

I can't do new paragraphs. Every time I edit my post and press return to get the paragraph down, it doesn't work. It just stays at the first paragraph.

Same here. And when you quote someone, their quote is full of HTML. Right now, there are < p> at the beginning and the end.

Also, I can't click on a smilie and have it inserted into my post. It tells me at the bottom of the window that there's an error on the page.

I've haven't seen this version before. vBulletin 3.5.0 is a better program for all forums. Well, what can I say. To point that out, GAC Forums (part of Golden Age Cartoons website) did have the vBulletin version 3.0.7. I don't see GAC Forums upgrading to vBulletin's 3.5.0 anytime soon. Nice concept.

Another funky bug I noticed.

Sometimes when I post a reply, it shows up at the bottom of the page. When I refresh the page the next time, my post gets moved to a new page. It's getting really irritating, because I seem to make a lot of those posts.

don't forget about the elimination of the little space between the parenthesis and the last page number of multi-page threads to choose from on the forum index.

(http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/images/misc/multipage.gif 1 2)

before the update there would have been a space between the 2 and the right parenthesis. it was the first thing i noticed. man is this going to take a while to get used to. and i mean that because i always had a tendency to highlight the space and sometimes copy it if i felt like it.

manually - quote one, copy, go back, quote the other post and paste in the first one...

or use an extension in firefox like pastequote or greasemonkey and a script

Yeah, that's it. That's why...I'm a moderator. CRIPES. HOWEVER...Before the upgrade, even the moderators didn't see the "deleted" boxes unless they were at the board they modded (for example, I mod the Mama's Family and Hunter boards...if somebody deletes a post there, I would see the box). They would not see the boxes if they were visiting, say, Random Posts.

Okay then. In this case...I dutifully request that it be taken away for moderators too. The only time I want to see the deleted boxes is if I visit the Mama's Family or Hunter boards. I don't want to see the boxes when I visit Chit Chat or whatnot. It's very obnoxious and distracts me. I only want to be able to see them when I am at my respective boards.

This is what I see in this thread, and I think it is VERY ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!

I've never liked the "floating" signatures. I think it is better that they are at the bottom of the posts. There would be no space if people typed out normal length responses and didn't have 500 character signatures.

Either way you are going to have blank space. Why does it matter if it's above or below the signature?

One signature per thread is plenty, there's no reason that you need to see the same signature 5 times on the same page.

Weird... I was able to see my signature on more than one post there AND my first one on that page! Is that a mistake? I thought it was ONLY supposed to show up once in every page.

But.... once I exited out of the browser window and later re-opened the page, ONLY my first post of the page's signature showed up. The other ones disappeared - like it's supposed to be.

it will show up multiple times on the page IF you use the Quick Reply button and don't have the "Show My Signature" box unchecked...

conversely, if you use the Quick reply for the first post on a page, your signature wont show if the box is unchecked (the box always overrides everything)

when you refresh or reload the page (without using the Quick Reply) the "show signatures only once per page" setting will take precedence... in other words, the behavior is normal (but understandably confusing).

do we no longer use the [img] tag in posts anymore?
you can use them as long as it's OK with the site that you are hotlinking from - if there is any question about it you can upload your pic to imageshack or other image hosting site.

the reason that hotlinked pics may not appear intermittently is usually because of lag from the site serving them - they'll show up eventually as long as their server isn't overloaded (or someone takes the pic down)

it will show up multiple times on the page IF you use the Quick Reply button and don't have the "Show My Signature" box unchecked...

conversely, if you use the Quick reply for the first post on a page, your signature wont show if the box is unchecked (the box always overrides everything)

when you refresh or reload the page (without using the Quick Reply) the "show signatures only once per page" setting will take precedence... in other words, the behavior is normal (but understandably confusing).
Thanks for explainin. I just could've sworn that it has never previously happened to me up until yesterday. Hmmm.... I guess I just didn't happen to notice closely until yesterday, it seems.

I swear I've posted a few times and had the post appear on a page, and when I refresh it appears on the next page as the first post on the page. Am I freaking out or something?

i think when you use quick reply the post appears on the current page regardlessly until you refresh it. that confused me too.

Its been going real slow lately. Sometimes the pages don't load all the way and I know its been happening to a few others around here too.

It's not loading slow for me, but it does go down quite a bit and just wont open at all. But some of my friends from here have been complaining of it being really slow.

Yes, since Monday. It's a pain in the butt trying to get around in my PM box, too. Also, there were a few times on Monday where I was unable to access the site. :(

It seems to be running along a lot better today, though.
