I am close to many of my family members. But one that stands out is my nephew Rashad. He's my sister's son. We are six years apart and we grew up like brothers. We even resemble. People asked if we were twins. LOL
Growing up, people thought we were brothers. We are so close, he works for the same company I do.

It used to be my Mother but since she's gone I'll probably say my sister now.

My older sister. She is 31 (two years older then me) and she has always been the one that I've felt most comfortable to go to for advice. She has always been so much easier to talk to then my parents.

My grandmother, she's basically been like a mother to me most of my life, ever since my real mom died

My sister. We've always been close. We still have little spats but we make up very quickly. When we were kids, if mom got mad at you for something, she wouldn't talk to you and hold a grudge, and we vowed we would never, ever be that way. So we don't hold grudges.

My 2 year old niece. This my sound pathetic but she is my best friend.

Honestly, right now I don't have a close relative. I barely tolerate half of my family, and the other half I like but wouldn't say I was THAT close to them. I dunno.....

I have always been really close to my mother who passed away on Jan. 16 of this year. I miss and love her very much and always will. :crying:

My older sister. She has been my older sister, but she has also been my mother since our mother passed away from an accident when I had just turned 6 and my sister was 19. She has been there for me thru thick and thin. We were close and over the years we have been closer. I love her to death. I don't know what would I do if I ever lost her. We lost our father last year and now it is her and I who are the "elders" in the family.

Both of my parents. But I talk about more things with my mom. We think more alike about certain things. But most of my weird quirks, I got from my dad. Go figure.


As for the rest of my family, I only dislike a couple (and downright despise one), but I'm not really close to them. I'm not the type to call up my grandma or visit her by myself. I love em, but I'm too shy or something.

I'm close to everyone I live with (parents, brothers, grandma) but the relative who I am the closest to and am the most open with and talk to about everything is my Aunt Sharon. I've been close to her ever since I was little but now that I'm older she's more of a friend and I can tell her anything.

It's probably not really that weird. One might expect you to be closer to those who you're closer in age to, but I've heard of several siblings who have been far apart in age and have been enormously close. Barry Gibb (of the Bee Gees) was 11 and a half years older than his youngest brother, Andy Gibb, but they were very close. Out of all of the Bee Gees, it seems Barry in particular was Andy's hero.

As for me, I get on with all members of my family. I'm not sure if I'm closer to one more than the other.
