View Full Version : I would like you guys to send out positive thoughts and prayers to my mom!!!
jackslovelady 09-28-2005, 09:09 PM Today my mother became very ill(she has been ill for a couple of days with a sinus infection and strep throat, that's better now however). Today while at work, she started feeling dizzy and nausious, typical flu-like symptoms. She apparently passed out at work after she had called my grandmother to come and pick her up( i was at school during all this mind you, found out when i got home). My grandma picked her up from work as my mom was too sick to drive, and brought her home. A few hours passed and my mom started feeling worse, so she was taken to a local hospital and admited to the er. The doctors are running all sorts of tests on her heart (possibly a heart related thing) and plan to keep her there a couple of days to run more tests and for observation. She should be okay, the doctors don't think it is really anything fatal but they want to get all bases coverd especially since she has a history of having heart palpuntations (beating really super fast and then skipping abeat and getting back to normal pace doing this reated times). I would really appreciate if you guys could send some positive thoughts and prayers her way. Hopefully she will be okay, but i think some positive thoughts would really make her feel better, knowing that basically the best people in the world who are on this site are thinkin about her would make both of us feel good!! Thank you!!
Sincerly,
Kacie M.

An update: She is doing a little better today. The lower chambers of her heart are not functioning to the optimum level, to compensate for this, the upper chambers are working too hard.Last night they gave her a very strong heart medication so she could have a normal rythum while she was sleeping, the dose that they gave her was to strong, so this caused her the lower chambers to slow and not function even more. Thus the upper part was like in hyper speed, so today she has had spells of like a sinking felling, very lightheaded, but should be okay. She will be in the hospital indefinetley, and right now the odds are in her favor which is a very good thing. The absolute wost case, last resort scenario would be putting her on a transplant list. At this point, they are giving her more medications and doing more tests, she again may need a transplant, but tat would be the very last option, right now they are sticking with the whole pace maker thing as it is pace and rythum related. AGAIN I CAN NOT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH!!! KEEP THE PRAYERS COMING AS WE ARE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET! THANK YOU GUYS SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH, I REALLY FEEL BLESSED TO BE APART OF THE GROUP NOW, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST. KEEP THEM COMING!!

Heart Shaped Box 09-29-2005, 10:44 PM Oh my god Kacie I am soo sorry to hear that about your mother. I kind of have a heart problem myself so I sort of know what she's going through. I know though that she will come out of this just fine and you guys will be ok. You guys will be in my prayers though. :( Please keep us updated too.
jackslovelady 09-30-2005, 11:00 PM Today my mom was informed that she needed a pace maker, that will be put in tomorrow. This morning apparently she flat lined, twice for 10 seconds, so we are very scared. Thank god the monitor she has on was hooked up to the nurses station, otherwise she would not have lived through the day. They will be putting the pace maker in tommorow and have her under many precautions right now. The doctors are saying that the pace maker will ultimately save her life. She has a nurse in her room at all times right now and if her heart stops again tonight, the will go ahead and put it in tonight.
Again thank you for all of your suppirt through this, we need it. Pray for her tommorow especially. Thanks guys.
Kacie M.
