Why did Friends change their opening sequences half-way through each season?. Was it to mark the first recording of the new year? E.G: First episode recorded in Jaunary or each year?. As much as i like credit changes i was just wondering why friends changed their credits so much.

I think in one of their commentaries, or something they explained they did it every 12 episodes or so because they thought the same seens would get old. I thought it was nice that it was always changeing.

I liked that it changed too, while still keeping the same structure (mixing the original fountain sequence with footage from the current season).

I thought it changed every season but maybe it changes every 12 episodes. I think they shouls change opening titles every so often, shows like Just Shoot Me, Will and Grace, Hope and Faith, Home Improvement etc all change there titles every season or 2.

I personally think the series finale should have had clips from every season.
That would have been good.

Yeah they kept the season 10 opening credits the same throughout - most likely because there were only 18 episodes.

I liked how the opening credits changed every so often. It makes the opening credits more enjoyable to watch. I liked how they had different pieces of the fountain sequence for when they changed the credits too.
