Anyone know when Season 6 of Good Times is scheduled for release? Perhaps it's too early for an exact date, but maybe there's an approximate date that's been bandied about. Anyone have any idea?

Ed Season five was just released a month ago, you got to be kidding me-lol Edster2973 09-27-2005, 01:51 PM Season five was just released a month ago, you got to be kidding me-lol No I am not. Lots of times people get advanced notice of when the following season is coming out even before the one that's due on the shelves. So, does anyone know? Ed TVFactFan 09-27-2005, 02:14 PM No I am not. Lets see, GT has one more season to be released on DVD, 2006 is approaching, ????????????????????????????? Edster2973 09-27-2005, 02:17 PM Isn;t the answer obvious? But there are 12 months to pick from out of the year and I wanted to know if someone knew of an approximate time (like Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter/etc.). So quit being a pain in the butt about this. Ed TVFactFan 09-27-2005, 02:23 PM Gee Solomon, I kind of figured it'd be out in 2006. I'm not that dumb. I just thought you would feel good to know the series would be complete on DVD sometime in 2006. Are you buying the season 4 of the Jeffersons in 2 weeks? I am looking forward to completing my Good Times collection within the year. Seasons 1-5 look cool on my shelf, especially with the spines showcasing each cast member. I just hope it's Ralph Carter we see on the spine of Season 6 and not Janet Jackson or Johnny Brown. Nothing against the latter 2 actors (I like Penny actually), but Michael Evans is a core character on the show and deserves to be showcased. Hear hear! Ed amatthias 09-27-2005, 02:50 PM The season sets have been coming out every six months, so I'll bet we can count on season six coming out in February 2006. Just an educated guess. Aaron Now that's more like it... ;) Thanks for the educated guess. I'd be willing to bet you're 'right on' about it. In either case, I hope it's definitely not later than February... But of course... after all, it's a spin-off of All in the Family, as was Maude, which subsequently spun off our beloved Good Times...      :happyface Sorry Solomon, couldn't resist the spin-off comment with you. I know how you get worked up about it. But in all honesty, yes, I will be getting it... Ed vashti1999 09-27-2005, 04:22 PM This list (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=143382) I compiled of Sony releases shows the last three Good Times season sets came out 27 weeks after the season that preceeded it, so if that's the case for season 6, we should expect it the last Tuesday of February 2006. That's not definite mind you, that's just if the pattern holds. Just keep in mind what happened with Charlie's Angels. vashti1999 09-28-2005, 04:53 PM Just keep in mind what happened with Charlie's Angels. That's a different situation. Charlie's Angels has had 2 of 5 seasons released. There's no reason with 5 of the 6 seasons already released and a clear 27 week pattern from season 2 on that Good Times should fall victim to whatever happened to Charlie's Angels when it has only 1 season left. Ed JeffRuss1972 10-15-2005, 08:13 PM I've seen on quite a few different web sites 2006(of course), but not an exact date. At least we know we'll have the series completed in '06:wave: TVFactFan 10-15-2005, 08:51 PM Anyone heard of a set date yet? TVFactFan 10-15-2005, 09:49 PM You believe the season 6 dvds will be edited? I think just a small portion of Homecoming 1 and 2 and Thelma's Wedding will be edited too. vashti1999 10-15-2005, 10:07 PM I think just a small portion of Homecoming 1 and 2 and Thelma's Wedding will be edited too. Well, if they're not edited and they do a nice booklet for it like they did with Sanford & Son season 6, that'll make it worth getting, though I'm getting it regardless. Edster2973 10-15-2005, 10:23 PM I think just a small portion of Homecoming 1 and 2 and Thelma's Wedding will be edited too. Why is that? Have any of the previous seasons been edited? I was under the impression that all of them were episodes in their entirety. They always run over 25 minutes. In any case, why do you think the two aforementioned episodes will be edited? Ed Edster2973 10-15-2005, 10:25 PM I wish u had TV ONE so it wouldn't matter when season 6 came out on DVD-lol It is a shame though because you are a fan of the show It's ok. I can wait until the Season 6 DVD set comes out. I haven't watched any of my old favorites on cable in a long time. I'm always playing catch up with my DVD sets (it takes a while to get through a whole season, especially those shows that have hour long episodes) and wouldn't have time to catch the show on TV ONE. No, it's better to view them on DVD where you can watch as many as you want...
