I ended my relationship with my boyfriend today; it wasn't easy and it will be hard to be without him anymore but I had to do it for my happiness and everything. I don't really want to get into it but I will say this much, I ended it because I am no longer happy with him and his family in general.

Yeah, hang in there. It will be hard, tough and so forth. I know of what you speak. I remember having to call it quits with my ex-husband. It gets to the point where you are no longer happy and you are the one making yourself miserable. Bless you and may God watch over you during this time. :wave:

Ending a relationship, even a troubled one, is never easy. Any change in life is scary. Fear of what lies ahead, I guess.

I want to thank everybody who responded to my post; it makes me feel a little bit better. I can't believe him; for so long I had wanted to marry him but he never wanted and all that, now he left me a letter on the table asking me to marry him. He's desperate now, he'll doing anything to keep me but now it's too late. If I stay with him, it will only get worse.

I'm sorry. :( But hey, best you realized this now instead of getting married and then deciding you're not happy. Happiness is the most important thing in the world.

just stay strong... if you know in your heart that you made the right decision, you gotta stick with it

I wrote him a letter today telling him that it's over between us and everything. I found out today that I have to stay here in my apartment with him until the lease ends which is July 1st of next year but I have to be out by June 30th (a few days before is ok too).

It will be hard to be with him all that time and see him everyday but I will do my things and he will do his. I know that life does go on even without him.

I will keep you posted from time to time when things come up.

Here's the update on our relationship; and it's a good one for now.
We have talked and worked things out at the present time, however I did tell him that after the holidays when everything has calmed down; if I still am not happy and feel the same way as I do now, I am gone for good.

So, we will have to wait and see. For the time being; everything is ok.
I hope that it will be fine and everything because I do love him and want to be with him forever and hopefully get married, etc....

I will keep you all posted as it goes on. Thanks again to those who gave me support and who showed comfort, understanding, etc... when I said that it was all over in the beginning of all this.

I'm so sorry to hear about you and your ex bf.. 10 years is a very long time.. Just hang in there and try to get things off your mind.. hope everything works out.. How did he take it? Sorry i hope you didnt mind me asking you that.
