On "Penny part 1", JJ and Penny were about to play house and she said, "I'll be the mother and you be the uncle."

Thelma : Hey Penny, do you have an uncle?

Then Penny said, "Lots of them."

What was that suppose to mean. Was they trying to say Penny's mama had a lot of boyfriends, and she told Penny they were her uncles, or what?

I assumed that's what it's supposed to mean. But it was bad enough she was abused, they didn't have to throw in the stereotype that her mother had slept around.
And besides, what kind of stupid question is that to ask: Do you have alot of uncles? huh

Wow....never thought about it that way...I thought it was another unnecessary line.
What was Thelma's and JJ's reaction after Penny said this?

Nothing. They just went on playing house. That's why I wondered why they put that line in there, it didn't amount to anything.
