i just sent out envelopes and all out to these following people
to see if they wuld send back an autograph:
Dixie Carter
Rue McClanahan
Vicki Lawrence
Carol Burnett
Bear Arthur
and Betty White
How many of these people do you think will actually
reply to me and send back thier autographs....
im really excited to find out!

You should have luck with most of them. I don't think Vicki has signed through the mail in a while, and occasionally if you don't send Bea something to sign you will get back the "Affectionately, Bea Arthur" autopen, but in general, they are all good signers.

vicki's was the one i wanted lol. im going to see her for my birthday,
som maybe ill have some luck then, if i dont get it through the mail.
Ive just recently recieved Jennifer Saunder's and Dawn Frenches
autographs, so hopefully ill have vicki's soon too!

You should have pretty good luck with 'em all. I got all of their autographs, and they are all pretty good about signing, except for Carol...That has been my experience, anyway. Vicki doesn't always respond to her fan mail, due to frequently being on the road. Here's to hoping you have better luck with them than I did. :lol:

And i was going to ask also, how long does it usually take to
recieve these things through the mail? Im very excited about
them and i can get very impatient lol. But in general if you
can be completely honest, how would be the best way to get
Vicki's autograph? she is my idol and i would love to have a
picture signed from her in my collection. And if i dont get it
through the mail how do you think would be the best way
to get backstage at one of her concerts to get an autograph?

It varies. It really depends on the current schedules of the people you write. Betty White is usually very fast. I just got her, and it took 10 days. I can also get quite impatient, but in the end, it's worth it. I've had replies in a week, and I also had replies 3-4 years later.

If you happen to go to one of Vicki's shows, you should try to locate the stage door of the theatre. I had luck with meeting her that way. After the show is over, go to the stage door and wait for Vicki to exit. If there's not too many people waiting, I'm sure she would be happy to sign and/or take pics.
