Change that to pride.

I knew that didn't make sense.

I knew that didn't make sense.

Yeah, if that were the case, I'd say they were going overboard with the twists. A macho bride?

ABC showed a scene for this Sunday on GMA this morning, it's Susan confronting Betty Applewhite about the noises from her house. She first denies anything, and then they hear the banging noises and she explains that it's Matthew, her son, doing work, and Susan's like "I hear it at 2am in the morning as well", she says, yes, he's a bit of an insomanic. Just then Matthew walks up behind them... and had not been in the house when the noises happened. She is so busted. :p

This episode wasn't that great either! :(

It was just in the middle, I enjoyed it fine but there wasn't a certain part that I really enjoyed...

That story Betty told was SO fake... she sure hasn't been complaining about sleep or nightmares to Matthew.

I really don't think that's her son... and the husband in the basement seems WAY too obvious.

I liked it... nothing really stood out however. It felt like a normal episode to me and I'm really interested in how this murder suspicion plot turns out. Looks like they will determine next week it was murder, but then comes the question, when does George get his? and I should mention that next week is the last episode the mother in law is in...

I thought the episode was good. Next week looks to be better because we will learn more about the Bree thing andmore about Betty and her secret. And hmm.. John and Gabby back? Should be good!

She made that story up to the shrink so he'd give her sleeping pills.

Then she chopped up the sleeping pills into a powder and put it into the person in the basement's food, didn't you see that?

Yep... after I re-watched the ending. I didn't catch it the first time. Looks like the pills will cause the guy to have MORE energy during the daytime.

it was okay but certainly one of the weakest episodes thus far. The only part I really loved was when Bree slapped Rex's mother.

I also am curious to see how the plot's going to twist now that people are suspecting Bree of Rex's death.

Tom and Lynette: Tom is so funny with his "system" well okay you don't clean up for 2 days fine but when there starts to be bugs it's time to clean. They were so funny in the bedroom! WOO HOO TOM WON ROFL. Lynette wants all of the control! I can't believe she got a rat! It looked like a mouse hmmm.. I can't believe she manipulated him into cleaning.. Sorry Lynette I'm on Tom's side.. Then when he told her he killed it she was surprised. Well gee
Lynette what did you expect him to do with it? Take it out to dinner? Come on! Really.

The Applewhites: Hmmm she puts her husband in the basement to punish him but then her son asks doesn't the noise bothers her. So the noises punshes her.. why does the hubby and her have to be punished? When she goes to the therapist she asks for pills to sleep. She tells a story about her hubby hitting her and their son.. Was she making that story up just to get the pills or was it true? Hmmmmmm..

Susan and Mike: So I guess they aren't broken up? She just wants a casual relationship? That's confusing..

Susan and Karl: What he is sleeping with Edie? Are you nuts?!!?! They have been dating for 6 months? Are you nuts?!!?! Ewwwww.

Susan and Edie: Ahhhhh Susan accidently ran Edie down with her car!!!!! ROFL ROFL ROFL.

Bree and Phyllis: What is with Phyllis crying all the time? Does she want attention from everyone? I think so. Bree slaps her ROFL. Phyllis brings up that Bree doesn't cry. Hey everyone mornes differently. Bree will cry in her own time!

Bree and George: Hmmm he is being sweet.. See Phyllis! Bree is crying!!!!! so there! Oh oh she thinks he is her boyfriend and tells the claims guy this!! YOU LIAR!!!! Bree and George are far from being boyfriend and girlfriend.. Phyllis is so bad!!!!

Carlos and Gabby: Oh boy!!! They are nuts! I bet you wouldn't have any attitude if Carlos cheated on you.. So someone in jail is threating Carlos for money for his girlfriend. The boyfriend wanted his girlfriend to get breast inplants? OY!!!! If I don't do it he might leave me.. Uhhh he is in jail!!!! you should leave him!!! ROFL.

Susan and the paperboy: ROFL ROFL ROFL. I can't believe she threw the paper at him that he fell off his bike!

Great episode!!!! LOVED IT.

I liked this episode, too. But...it was flawed by the inconsistent characterization of Carlos: here's a man who beat up two men in the first season and has shown terrifying anger on several occasions; now he's scared because some punk in prison has threatened him? And then ends up with a black eye? Come on...we all know Carlos could defend himself if he wanted to.

Maybe it's just me, but I felt this was contrived to drive the point home that Gaby had taken control. And that made the episode less than perfect.

I thought this was probably the most lackluster episode of the entire series. The money for boob job thing seems like it was just thrown in to give Gabby and Carlos something to do. Bree slapping her mother-in-law was predictable, you just knew something like that was going to happen. The other storylines were just okay. Next week looks better.

Yeah you're right!! Wasn't even thinking that.. Duh me.. Come on Carlos!!!

I thought the storyline of Gaby giving the guy's girlfriend money for breast implants was stupid. It could have been something better then that.

It's time for Bree's mother-in-law to go. She is stiring up nothing but mess.

Next week, we get to see who is really in the basement. That will be interesting. I think the Applewhite's have been the most interesting family because we all know they are hiding something.

This coming episode is the last one she is in. I don't know what happens though. Looks like with the news that Rex was murdered about to come out she'd be around more than ever.

Moreso than the fashion-model episode of Season 1?

Yep. At least with that episode there was some fun campiness with the women walking the runway, the torn dress and all of that. Last night's episode lacked the usual "pizzazz" moment for me.

Even when Susan ran over Edie, lol? Bree's slap was great, but I think I expect that from Bree now.

Really Vashti? I thought last night's episode was LOADS better than the season premiere.

Susan/Edie/Mike/Karl - I loved all of Susan's scenes last night. With Betty, with Karl, with Julie, with Mike and ESPECIALLY with Edie. Priceless stuff between them. I love it. But i do have a complaint... what happened to Zach and Paul? Why was that dropped? I know that's what DH does, drop something for an episode here and there to focus on other things, but if Susan had never mentioned the fact that Zach held a gun on her and was Mike's son, it would have been totally ignored... is Mike not out searching for Zach? Is Paul not planning revenge?

Gabby/Carlos - What great comedic stuff they're being given. Eva Longoria was so robbed this past year. She is adding such a great comedic flare to Gabby. Her facial expressions are just dead on. Looks like it's even better next week with John back.

Lynette/Tom - Another good storyline. Very fun and realistic. I like the growing tension between Tom and Lynette. They come off as such a real couple. They fight and maybe have a little tension, but still love each other. Good stuff. It's great seeing Doug Savant on a regular basis now. And I'm so glad Joely Fisher is back next week as Lynette's boss.

Betty/Matthew - Wasn't her son originally named Josh? Or did I imagine that? I'm a little more intrigued but not by much. It's just not catching my attention. Alfre Woodard isn't doing it for me, LOL. And I think she is such a great actress, too. She needs more development. I think her storyline is not being handled as good as it could be. I did love her scene where she was manipulating the doctor.

Finally,
Bree/Phyllis - The best part of the show. Shirley Knight is fantastic as Rex's mother. I love how she breaks down to everyone around her while Bree remains very stoic. It's so in character for Bree. I would probably hate Bree if it weren't for Marcia Cross. She is such a good actress. THe slap was classic. Like Pav, I expect that from Bree and the slap was kinda predictable (it was in the previews from last week) but Lynette's reaction just made that scene work. Roger Bart does such a good job of making George extremely creepy. Glad to see that aspect returning. I can't wait until George goes psycho...

Here's hoping they pick up the Zach/Paul storyline as well as the seemingly dropped Andrew storyline (is he the "evil gay son" that we saw most of last year, or the "mourning, but horny son" as we saw in the season premiere. Is he bi, gay, straight?). LOL.

And those ladies just get hotter each and every week. Nicolette in that outfit that looked like it was from the '70s was so Edie... phew. LOL.

Edie's outfit reminded me of something Chrissy from Three's Company would wear.

Love that "juicy" theme? Listen to a sample, it is from Better Than Ezra: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/wma-pop-up/-/B0007VF2QO001010/103-4498441-0393433

I haven't gone through all the special features on the dvd yet, but is that "juicy" promo with all the women not included on the set? I thought the "juicy" song would be included on the Desperate Housewives soundtrack cd, but I didn't see it listed as one of the tracks when I looked online.

Pavan

The "juicy" promo is for season two's promo campaign. On the DVD they have a general promo for season 2, but not the juicy one.

As for the soundtrack, yeah it would have been nice to have that on there. Maybe they don't actually own it since it is a real song.

Yeah... when I first checked ABC Media Net I know it said Lost/CiC/DH, and then I checked a few hours later and it was Lost/Invasion/DH. Strange.
