Ireneparalegal 09-25-2005, 05:34 PM Some I agree with, but THE AUDITION is not on the list. This must have been some kind of poll with readers, am I right?
THE AUDITION IS THEEEEEE SCARIEST!!!!

Dean Winchester 09-25-2005, 06:16 PM Gigli is so damn nightmare-inducing that I've tried THREE TIMES to get into it on tv and only made it 30 minutes each time, it was too scary to take, especially Ben Affleck talking in ebonics.

They have been showing that on Sundance lately,it's caught my eye, but I don't have that channel. :( Maybe Showtime will pick it up, they like Japanese horror on there.
80sTrivia 09-25-2005, 07:17 PM I pretty much agree with the choices on the list, with exception to Seven, which I didn't find all that scary, although it was distrubing. I think the general consensus is that The Exorcist is the scariest movie... ever!!!

Any movie with JHo, with the exception of Selena, is a horror movie. Gigli is a movie with no category whatsoever, that is damn scary!!!!
Ha ha lmao "ebonics"!!!!! true

Irene, you are the best! I have been dying to see this movie. I heard alot of positive things about it. I am surprised anybody here in the US has heard of that film.
dandelion wine 09-26-2005, 10:24 PM Without a doubt, Session 9 gets my vote. Had me looking over my shoulder the entire time I watched it. Pretty creepy.

Brian and Susan Norton, you have got to see it, rent it, buy it, steal it (just kidding) it is awesome. I love these crazy movies that are done by these chinese directors/producers. There is a producer (?)/ or movie called Ichi something, can't remember if it's the name of the movie or the name of the producer, anyhow it's weird but scary s**t.
People get sliced in ways I have never seen on any film.
Thanx Brian, you are so cool.

It's another Japanese horror film about a blind girl who gets a cornial transplant, only the eyes she gets are from a deceased young girl who had the power to see dead people. Very creepy movie! I heard they are remaking it for the US.

Showtime shows tons of Japanese movies, have you seen Onmyoji 1 or 2? Really good fantasy flicks. Great special effects!
Brian Damage 09-27-2005, 12:39 AM I really have become a huge fan of Asian cinema. I saw the Japanese horror movie "Premonition" at the Tribeca film festival earlier this year. There is a Korean movie called Mokdugi Video. It has been called the Korean version of Blair Witch Project. It is suppose to be very spooky.

I haven't heard of them, but I'm always game for new ones to check out. Are they on DVD?

Ok, I was thinking of another movie for some reason.. Actually, I have seen Audition and you're right, that is one scary movie. There's a particular scene with a bag that really got under my skin.
For those who haven't seen it, rent that sucker and turn out every light in the house. It'll be worth it! Irene, great recommendation.
dirrtycruz 10-02-2005, 05:07 PM Some of my favorite horror movies are Constantine, Hannibal, The Silence of the Lambs, Cursed, and Boogeyman.
There are so many more movies in CinemaNow's Horror Library that I want to watch as well:
