lithoguy 09-25-2005, 12:32 AM Hey Jeremy, After sending me 26 different emails over a single trade that you originally requested and I came through on my end, why is it that suddenly you cannot respond to my emails looking for the DVD's that you owe me? I await your response.
nannyfan 09-25-2005, 04:14 PM Well....it looks like my previous warning posts about this habitually bad trader still ring true. Folks, take a look at the Feedback thread "complete bad traders" list on this forum. Passionsfan79 is on that list as a bad trader. Here's what you will find:
"Jeremy Augst: Fullhousefever , barrywilliamsfan03, passionsfan79
Edit: Jeremy may have changed his ways, just exercise caution."
Lamont 09-25-2005, 04:44 PM hi
he asked me about a trade
i assumed since he is a MODERATOR he was good trader
i dont know, so i wont judge
but i dont have the time to waste and take a chance
nothing personal, i jsut do too many trades with good traders to take a chance
question---HOW can u be a MODERATOR and on the BAD TRADER LIST?
why dont they do something about this glaring oversight?

Collinwood2003 09-25-2005, 04:54 PM I don't think he is a moderator. That is something like forum junkie when you get over a thousand posts. But if he is a bad trader other people will think he is a moderator. Can the real moderators do anything about this?

Lamont: I've asked the same questions before. I'm told he is a moderator for one of the other forums on sitcoms - and not a moderator for the trading post. That's why he shows up as a moderator on the trading post. In my "unsolicited" opinion, anybody who is a known thief, should not be a moderator on sitcoms at all - for any forum.
Lamont 09-25-2005, 07:43 PM He emailed to me to say that
1. he never dealt with nannyfan and has no idea what that post is about
2. he claims he has resolved with lithoguy (let everyone know if that is true)
3. made no explanation for the string of bad trader posts about him in the bad trader section
i have no first hand knowledge, but to me, 3 strikes and u r out, so i passed on the trade
just putting the info out here to keep S O board safe
:happyface
lithoguy 09-25-2005, 07:50 PM If (and when) I receive what is owed to me, I will be the first to acknowledge the completion of a good but long trade. I was not aware of all of the different email addresses at first but, I will withhold any further comment for now.

nannyfan 09-26-2005, 09:25 AM It is true that I have never traded with Passionsfan79 (or, under any of his previously self-assigned screen names). My "warning" posts direct people toward the bad trader thread to check for themselves. When you do a search on this forum for his different screen names - you may find older posts about this trader. I believe you will find other warnings about him on other forums, as well.
I'm all for giving bad traders a chance to become a good trader. The only problem is when they have been very bad and screwed a lot of people in the process and never made amends. If they have "learned their lesson" - then they should begin with sending things they owe to people already rather than setting up new trades.
He has been on the sitcomsonline bad trader list for as long as I've been posting on this site - with numerous warnings posted throughout that time frame. Of course, a trader can always require another trader to send first - which, is almost a fail-safe way to trade. Unfortunately, this doesn't help those who have been burned in the past.
Lamont 09-26-2005, 09:56 AM well i am always open to trades -- but i dont really want to bother with those who are on the bad trader list---- i mean anyone can have a few bad experiences, but i am talking about those ones that have numerous bad complaints and no good commments
i agreed to do a trade with someone on the bad trader list like 2+ months ago
it is still a mess
this person said they would send first, and when they did, 65% of the discs were defective!
and they still have not gotten me all the discs yet to make it right, so i have a pile of partial stuff waiting to see if it ever ends up right
i hope so, and if it turns out well, i will post good comment
but it is not worth the time to have to email over and over and chase down what is owed to you

I hear ya!! It's usually easier (althought, still frustrating) to trade for the replacements you need with a different trader. What's even more frustrating is to get bad discs from a trader and then to find out their master copy discs are bad - and that they can't get replacements AND will not tell you their source for the set so you can try to get replacements.
lithoguy 09-30-2005, 07:43 PM I wanted to update everyone who has been reading this thread. I just received the balance of the DVD's from my trade with Passionsfan79 and they are all fine. Jeremy did come thru and I would label this a successful trade.
