I always felt that this Becky was just used as a fill-up for Lecy's absense. I noticed they never give her anything meaty or an episode really focusing on her like the other one. Plus she never really interacted much with the family.You'd just see a cute face lurking in the background. If they had to switch Becky, at least give her some stuff to work with. I'm pretty sure #2 could have been mean & funny like the other one if they had let the actress grow!

Someone mentioned before that they probably only brought back Becky to bring back Mark so they probably just figured hey we'll give her a season if she's not good we'll put her in every 3 episodes after that. I never liked Sarah Chalke as Becky however I do like the jokes they always said about her replacing Lecy. I wonder how Sarah felt when they said "Lecy's coming back so your gonna have to quit the show"

I always thought it was rude of them to do that to the second actress, & make references to the first actor who got into her role real well.I'm pretty sure it didn't bother her though.

IMO she didnt have the same chemistry to be Becky. It's not easy to replace a character ina show. Dick Seargant over Dick York in Bewitched, Donna Reed in Dallas, etc. Never works.

Also, Roseanne stated in a recent interview that after Lecy left the show it was not the same with the Sarah Chalke as Becky. This is why in the last few seasons she did not do much with the character

She Definitely Sucked, big time. She has to be the worst replacement in any series. She was nothing like the great Lecy, who had a smart and real personality, unlike Sarah C. who had that silly dumb air head image.

I liked Becky, she was pretty cool
