I got hit though, and it stung a bit, nothing too bad robyrob 09-24-2005, 02:10 PM back on July 4th in 1999, I was walking home from the fireworks show with some friends from work in Redmond, Washington when this van pulled up beside us and flung open the side door and started SHOOTING AT US with some sort of semiautomatic weapons. I was in a total state of shock, and it really took quite a bit to realize exactly what had happened... it certainly seemed like i was watching my friends get shot and fall to the ground, and I sure couldnt tell the difference between dark paint and blood at the time. Outside of a few bad bruises, including one on the side of someone's face, no-one was hurt very badly. The strange thing is that everything missed me completely - i was the ONLY one out of the six of us that wasn't hit at all. I honestly would not mind if those things were outlawed completely, or at least put the same restrictions on them as they do on other firearms; someone COULD have been seriously hurt very easily, and this all happened in a very quiet, relatively crime-free area. Of course, I should also mention that no-one was ever caught or charged in this incident. TJL 09-26-2005, 02:40 AM Those paintballs also taste nasty. During one skirmish I got shot in the face - but I had that big Jason Vorhees type protective mask on, but I got some of the spray in the mouth. Yeesh.
