To be fair, I only consider it to be a top-5 spinoff; Maude, Frasier, L&O:SVU, and maybe The Jeffersons were better. It managed to be its own show (and was funny) without relying on its predecessor but still acknowledging it where necessary. "Joey" is doing very well at trying to establish itself as a separate entity from "Friends," but not nearly as well critically or commercially. Angel (from Buffy) The King of Queens isn't a spin-off of Everybody Loves Raymond, In the first two seasons Kevin appeared as a character named Kevin on ELR, but on TKoQ he was Doug so Ray knew Kevin and Doug who bhoth exsisted in the same universe....
