I was tooling around Target yesterday in the movies department and happened to notice the Desperate Housewives Season 1 DVD set had a "Target Exclusive" sticker on the boxes. Anyways, the set has an addition DVD with an unaired episode on it ... it's packaged on the outside of the box (inside the shrinkwrap) on the back of the box in a little cardboard sleeve.
So my question is ... is this a real bonus that's not available anywhere else or just a "come-on"? The price is $35 too, which is cheaper than Amazon. It might be a sale price for this weekend though.
Any ideas? I was taping the show until I heard that a DVD set was coming out. So I'm wondering, do you tape a TV show even though it's coming out on DVD or just wait for the release? Do the TV aired versions ever have anything different than the released sets?
Edited: I did some web searching and the episode is the Dirty Laundry recap episode. Apparently it's only available through Target for a limited time.
