I don't really care for infomercials, they are annoying as hell, but I will admit that I have been hooked into watching one whether it was the product or the commercial itself. There is one for a product called the Magic Bullet. It purees, makes smoothies, etc. I don't really care for the product but when my family and I went to Seattle this past April, me and my daughter stayed up late trying to find something on t.v. to watch. Well, lo and behold came this damn infomercial and it had me and my daughter laughing our asses off, almost made me pee in my pants. It was so stupid and corny but it made us laugh like we were watching a sitcom. Bad acting, bad food. Just awful.

I don't pay attention to them, nor do I care for them. They're boring as crap. If I happen to see one on TV, I just change to another station. Or I just pop in a tape/DVD and watch those instead.

Well, I wish that evening in Seattle we had a DVD or tape to watch. We were in a hotel and it was 2 in the morning. It was either watching the infomercial or watching the Vatican preparing for the Pope's funeral. Not much of a choice. I had seen alot of coverage of the Pope and needed something to make me take my mind off of it.

That magic bullet commercial though was so damn funny. I have even seen it dubbed in spanish!!! LOL

Ohhh... I see now. Yeah, it's really no other choice. I don't like the sad news lingering on and on and get bored of it, so I would've also chosen informercials in this scenario.

yeah, I should have made my post clearer. I don't care for infomercials, but sometimes, somehow, they make themselves available. They are friggin' annoying.

OMG, I hope I didn't hit a nerve with saying I hate that infomercial. I can't wait to tell my daughter that people love this infomercial. She will fall down laughing again. One time it came on and she was saying: "Mom, mom, look, that commercial we saw in Seattle!!" and she began laughing her butt off!

yes, timelife infomercials rule. i've seen the country one many times even though i hate country. my favorite is the classic rock one of course. lol i noticed in all of them they have a host talking to a legend of the genre (and sucking up to them.."wow! you had ALL those hits! that is amazing!") and they always mention that by buying one song you like on one cd, another song you like on another cd, you're wasting your time AND money, and timelife has done all the work for us by putting them all into one collection. :grr:

 The acting is so phony. There was one with, Neil Sedaka I think, where I nearly fell over laughing.

isn't it ridiculous how the people/celebrities who endorse these products seem so phony??? even actors whose craft is acting can't act for s**t!!!

I can't stand the infomercials where they yell all through the thing, like the oxy- clean or the tony little onse. I don't see the point in that at all. It just gives me the worst headache

Tony Little does scream alot. I bet he's on steroids.

I was looking at the Little Giant Ladder infomercial and after awhile the ladder looked too heavy.

you know, that is sooo true...why on earth do u think they do that? it only drives people away. do they think that yelling will get me to buy something? I cannot stand any infomercial or any commercial that has a stupid, british man talking so fast and with so much "excitement" like he has ants in his pants. So damn annoying.

don't get me started on the tony little one, i'm glad i haven't seen it in a while. i don't know where he gets the idea that he has to HOWL and SCREAM everything he says throughout the whole infomercial, but apparently he's oblivious to the fact that even if we don't hear him during the taping of the infomercial, the program is going to be sent to our television sets individually and we'll hear everything he says anyway no matter how loud he was.

AFFORDABLE!!!!!!! PORTABLE!!!!!!!! AND TOTALLY... STORABLE!!!!!!!
