It's on FOX now, and probably other channels. The plane's trying to land...trouble with landing gear. California.

It's been on for over an hour now... it's been "landing any minute" for 20 minutes...

It's really not funny Brent. This plane's been in trouble for two hours.

it's not funny, but it's been a couple of hours now that it was ready to land in a few minutes. i finally turned off the tv and came here. sad I know.
just went by that airport over the weekend too; the scary thing is that me and my boyfriend were commenting on how low the planes fly over the freeway and how one could crash on the freeway and kill hundreds of commuters. that's life here in Cali.

No, I am not watching it because I am currently at work. No TV access....

Yikes! I really hope all goes well and is able to come to land safely. This way, the passengers are able to use the emergency exits. Even if it lands on a lake or near water, the floating devices would help out a bit. I hope all goes well... :(

I know... I meant the whole "we were told it would land at this time, but it's really not" is funny...

The landing gear is really messed up... I've never seen it sideways.

I can't even imagine what is going through those peoples minds right now :(

CNN, MSNBC and FOX covering it. 146 on board.

If I was a passenger, I'd be having a heart attack.

I think it will be fine. I'd like to know what's going to happen to that twisted landing gear underneath the plane.

If it's anything like what my cousins went through several years ago, they will have them fly around until fuel is almost gone so there is less of a chance of the fuel exploding.

My cousins had a "controled" crash landing with no nose gear and walked away with no injuries.

I know. That's the scary part...that they haven't been able to land.

Yes... odds are it will be fine.

They keep talking about it on the news to kill time. Tail comes down first and then the front... to prevent it from rolling over or sliding off the runway and doing who knows what.

Because of the fuel. A transcontinential flight is loaded with it...

He's on final approach, shouldn't be much longer.

My husband is probably standing there watching the plane instead on getting on the bus. LOL.

I just tuned in. That's scary. I know if I were in that plane, I would die of a heart attack. But, I'll pray that the plan lands safely. Hopefully it will.

That was freaky when all those sparks started going off. Glad it landed fine.

Not just fine, perfect. Right down the center line and the gear did NOT collapse.

I swear, I thought I was going to see an explosion of some sort. And my boyfriend wonders why I am afraid to fly....
