I loved this show when I was growing up. I tried to find out if she is still alive. No luck on the net. Maybe that's a sign that she still is.
I always watched her and wondered if anyone else there remembers her and her show?

Yes, the woman that portrayed Hobo Kelly was Sally Baker and her show aired for years on KCOP-TV channel 13 although people from other message boards have told me her show was taped and aired on KTTV channel 11 first. Either KCOP became part of the syndication list around 1966 or the show moved taping operations there. I always believed her show was taped and aired on KCOP, (not KTTV). The "Hobo Kelly Show" was a local smash hit on Los Angeles television from the mid 1960's-1970's and one feature was filling pieces of junk into a machine which would 'magicly' turn into great prizes of toys and games for a young lucky "mischef maker" in her viewing audience from a large batch of post cards in a large hopper.

In the late 1970's early '80's Sally embarked on a new children's series called "The Froozles" for syndication and aired on KHJ-TV channel 9 (now KCAL-TV) and later seen again on KWHY-TV channel 22 and KDOC-TV channel 56 in Anaheim, California in later years. Some elements used on "The Hobo Kelly Show" were incorporated into "The Froozles" TV series.

I do believe Sally Baker is still alive and well and I don't have any info on how to contact her but I know she loves her fans and misses them very much. You can read more about Hobo Kelly on a page called Local Legends and Hobo Kelly information can be found at this site:

Los Angeles TV Legends: Hobo Kelly (http://latvlegends.com/HoboKelly/hobokelly.htm).

Hope that helps! :)
