didn't we all read somewhere that Jonathan Prince knew that AD was being cancelled back in December? if that's true, then he knew AD would not be back for a new season and therefore should have aired the alt. ending to the finale, right? was it his call or NBC's call as to whether or not to air the alt. ending?

I don't know who makes that call. But maybe Jonathon Prince thought that NBC would change there mind about cancelling the show b/c of all the fan mail, and maybe he thought the show would get better ratings.

I think Prince thought that once NBC recieved tons of mail about "American Dreams", they would change thier minds and renew the show for another year. Because he thought there was a chance, he didn't show the epilouge ending. That is of course, assuming he had a say about which ending was aired, which he may not have.

No matter how you slice it, all of the viewers have been and continue to screwed by NBC

The only way to get even is to get as many people as possible to boycott all of their channels

no disrespect, but this guy was just a day player on one episode. does that really count as part of the "cast?" i hope he really does have some kind of inside source at NBC and that NBC hasn't absolutely, 100-percent given up trying to air it, but let's not hang our hopes on one person's information.
