I thought it was funny. All day long I kept imagining Doug pole dancing while I was at work.I almost giggled out loud. But I held back I work with small kids and you really have to focus on them even though it's Nursery School and 4 year olds. :)

It was a pretty good episode. Leah was very funny trying to pole dance. I hate to even bring it up, but Leah still looks really out of shape, compared to what she used to look like. I knew she would never be able to climb that pole.

It was OK, not bad but not great.

They are making Remini earn her pay check [she did more in this episode than like...last season combined]. Carrie seemed kinda out of character throughout though, eh, I don't know.

Oh I thought Leah looked good. It was Kevin James' hairpiece that looked worse to me...

I thought it was very good and really funny. When Doug kicked off his shoes and got on the pole, my wife and I both fell out laughing so hard!!! I had to rewind that scene twice. When he was sliding down the pole, saying" I'm an angel, be an angel" I give that episode 9 outta 10!!!!! gold stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVED IT! I still can't believe Doug got on that pole.

I'm brand new, but have been reading this board for along time. Love TKOQ, and just wanted to say hi!

I liked last night's show for one reason. It was the first time in 2 seasons, IMHO, that neither character did something underhanded or sneaky. They really seemed like they loved each other and wanted to make each other happy, The romance is back. The last two seasons they seemed more like roomates who really couldn't stand each other. Good episode last night (even though the last 5 minutes is the reason why I've still not deleted it from my Moxi dvr).

I loved it. Even though Leah still hasn't lost all of the weight, I thought she looked damn good. She looked better than she has in a year and a half. You don't see much physical comedy on this show (at least not involving Leah), so the pole scenes were great! I hope the episodes to follow are just as good.

Thanks! :) I think Leah looks fine. I always thought she was atractive, but looked much better with some meat on her bones (I'm a hips-and-behind man myself ;) ) and looked at some of the heat she took last season becuase she was bigger. She was full-figured, and there are some of us men out there that like thick women.

Now, I don't want to restart the is-Leah-fat-or-not thread that went on, so I'll be quite and look at Leah trying to dance on that pole (no pun intended). :)

I think she looks fine, too. Once I saw how great she looked on Ellen last week, I knew she would look a lot better on the show again.

 Yeah, that Leah thread got carried away. The board was pretty much divided there.

BTW, why did Kevin's hair look so strange?

I thought Leah looked good too.You cannot get on a pole to dance without Training even if you are the thinnest Person out there today. It's hard from what I see and no I never pole danced but you just can tell.

Random info...

I actually saw this episode filmed live. I loved it. My favorite part was Carrie and Doug on the pole. The last scene with Kevin on the pole was shot only one time because Kevin had a bad shoulder. The warm up guy told us that scene was not rehearsed and that was the first time anyone had seen what he was going to do. It came out very funny. (It was my favorite part of the show.)

(I heard Kevin tell Leah to hit him when she had to punch him. It looked like she hit him hard.)

They cut out a very funny scene with Arthur on the couch sleeping. Doug tries to wake him up but he won't wake up so he pulls the couch down and pulls it back up and Arthur's not on it anymore. And then he sits down on it to watch tv.

I believe the director's wife was one of the pole dancers in the pole dancing class scene. She told us she was on "Oprah" talking about pole dancing and how it's become very popular in gyms.

It's awesome that you got to see that episode live! Thanks for all of the info on it. Too bad they cut the Arthur scene, it sounds like it would have been great.

It looks like he's wearing a toupee.

Thanks for the live info. Kudos to Leah for not cracking up if that was the first time he did it! And he is a brave man inviting Leah Remini to punch him, j/k.

I thought it was kinda disappointing. I don't know what's gone wrong but it's not consistantly there
for every episode anymore. The only thing I laughed at was Arthur getting the lap dance at
the end. I can't say they aren't trying anymore
or the energy isn't there but it somehow seems
Doug and Carrie are just going through the motions and pretending to be the characters now. Before
it seemed they really were those people. I expect some good shows this season but it might not be
more than 50-50. It seems they're mainly just
collecting the big paychecks now. Sorry to say.

I sadly have to agree that The King Of Queens is past it's peak which IMO was seasons 3/4/5. But it's still worth watching. It will probably end after 9 seasons like Raymond.

Wow,you know, thinking back thru the last 7 seasons the KOQ has had some really good season premieres. And monday night was no exception.
I thought the episode was very funny throughout and the last 5 mins.was hysterical!!!Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just not sure what some of you people want.

Arthur:"I hear there are midgets in it and that spells funny".

The best thing I liked about it is like I said, the romance was back for these two. They honestly, in the last two seasons, seemd like they almost hated each other at times. Also, IMHO, Carrie started acting way too much like Debra from ELR, and Doug started coming off like Ray. Hell, like I have read here, no matter how she looked, if I came home to that all the time, there might be some changes. :)

I agree.sometimes I cringe when they really start going at,but I guess that is the dynamic between Doug and Carrie.Usually there is a lot humor injected
into their "sparring".Plus,in the end, they almost always make up :)

IA also. It's just that in the last two seasons, they really got away from that. Doug or Carrie (mostly Doug) were caught in some really low-down thing they just got through doing. The love seemed like it was gone. I hope the writers and producers listened to their fans. That's why I enjoyed the season premiere. Now, next week, they agree that they should see a marriage counsler. We'll see if it last.

I have been in love with this show since it started, and if they drop the mean-spritedness and return to the fun comedy, where at the end you know they all really love each other, it could gone on for a few more years, IMHO. :)
