I have the box set released a few years back, this is great! Stephen Collins of "Seventh Heaven" does a great job singing his songs, too.:) Lonely Summer 03-01-2006, 02:42 PM Hello Mary Lou, Believe What You Say, Fools Rush In, Dream Lover, Travelin' Man, Gypsy Pilot, Garden Party, Just a Little Too Much, Easy to be Free, My One Desire Joe Savoia 03-01-2006, 06:02 PM One song that is quite underrated and rarely discussed is " Your Kind of Loving". I had the song on a 45 when I was a teenager ( I had all of his 45's)and recently downloaded it onto my IPOD. If you have the chance, listen to it. staypuftman2004 03-01-2006, 06:53 PM Travelin' Man Lonely Summer 03-02-2006, 03:32 AM "Your Kind of Lovin'" was the song Rick sang on his first (and only) appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show. He also sang it on a couple Ozzie and Harriet shows. One of the tapes I have shows him singing the song in color, another one is b&w, but they're both the same footage. I think most people forgot the song because it wasn't on an album. It's on the Ace CD Rick Rarities, came out in 2004. Joe Savoia 03-02-2006, 10:30 AM Thanks for the information. I remember that Ed Sullivan appearance. Lonely Summer 03-03-2006, 03:06 AM Our local PBS station was carrying reruns of the Ed Sullivan shows a few years back, I taped the one Rick was on. I'm surprised he was only on that one time, I know he didn't appear on any other shows while O&H was on the air, but I would've thought he'd do the Sullivan show a few times during the Stone Canyon Band era. He did the Tonight Show a couple times, the Johnny Cash Show, Mike Douglas, Jim Nabors, Rollin' on the River. |
