I did a trade with bynon about a month ago and it was for 44 discs. Well I seen recently he was banned from here. Has anyone received a package from him since he's been banned. He promised it to me about 2 1/2 weeks ago, then he promised he'd have it before I went on vacation and now I'm back from vacation and it's still not here. And now he doesnt even answer my emails. Is he a scammer or what? I trusted him. I even found a movie he said he really wanted. Please let me know if I got scammed or if he's just behind in sending the stuff he owes me. Thanks. Jim

well the fact that he was banned should tell you to no longer wait for the package to arrive because he probably did scam someone

there are many reports like this out there about this person

probably the best way to deal with this is state the exact facts and all contact info in the bad trader area above and it will help others who may be stopped from a poor move with your info

it will not help you, but by setting a good example, more folks may have the courage to step up and post things that may save you a problem someday with another poor trader

he may well not be a scammer or thief, he may have just got in over his head and cant dig his way out

no matter, thats still a poor or bad trader, and all the while he was so far behind, he was still posting daily for more and more trades

a good--or honest trader would never behave like that

anyone can get behind for many legit reasons, but stop trying to make more trades, bust your hump to get people taken care, and make darn sure you email them and give them an honest answer

thats how a honest or good trader acts

OK here is my 2 cents worth--- I will say this, Wolf 11 seems to be a decent guy--- nothing personal, BUT he got way in over his head and i dont know if he is going to follow through or not! We did a few small trades, he was fast and even though he had a very high % of bad discs he sent me, he always fixed the problems. So after 2 or 3 small trades we did a bigger trade!

Then--- a total nightmare! I sent him some stuff, he was supposed to send me about 8 movies and a Macgyver set. Well i think 5 of the 8 movies were defective, and 20 of the Mac discs were bad!!!! That was like 80% bad discs!
I tried to work with him, He finally sent me a new Mac set, but here I am 2-3 months later--- Still waiting on the last 2 movies..... and now they will be released officially in a month!

ALSO, I had transfered some vhs to dvdr for him and he was supposed to send me a big vhs set of a rare show that I wanted. The only reason I agreed to do the vhs transfer on the other show, was so that we could do the LARGER vhs transfer on the big show. Then he backed out--- and didnt send the videos. So, I was screwed again.

Then he got way behind, and started posting excuses onthe board about having a computer virus/ his burner going out/ too upset over the hurricane to trade anymore... and so on, but he was still selling items on ebay and still setting up traders....

Now, he is a nice guy, and I tried to work with him.... he got mad and threated anohter member with a computer virus and emailed me about his plans... I told him not to mess with people, not to send any viruses. When he got banned, I told him to chill, get caught up, make it right, and then try to get reinstated... instead he reresitered with a fake name and went off on loren..... so what can I say?

I mean, he is a nice guy, and I am sure he did not mean to scam anyone... he just got in too deep.... and made too many commitments and was trading stuff he didnt have yet..... and it fell apart... as to whether or not he will send people what he owes them--- who knows? I hope so, but his behavior has been erratic lately... good luck

and again, nothing personal--- i like the guy, and i hope he gets it together, and i did get some good stuff from him, so i wish him well

yea,the only reason u got the macgyver was because i was kind enough to help him out and let him borrow my set because he needed them to send to u,then he needed to whole dvds so i sent him 100 blanks for a promise he would send me a few sets when he got his dvds,well the only good ending to this story is that i got my macgyer
back..(masters ).i guest that what i get for being kind hearted..

i have heard a lot of similar stories like this, i think he got in way too deep

i know he promised people stuff he didnt have and then scrambled to get it from others, i sent him my MAUDE set so that he could send it to someone else he promised it to----

i think that is what happened to me, the movies and the vhs set he said he would send, he didnt have yet and it fell through, and i got the shaft

i hope he gets it all together

but i will never pretrade an item before its in my hand

thats a spiral to the bottom doing that

Um, any trader that threatens another trader with a virus attack (or any other form of unwarranted retribution) is not a nice guy in my book.

It's not the dvds or the hobby.its hoping you can find good people and friends on the way..It looks like for every good person you find ,theres 20 bad ones..I guess thats why i get scammed sometimes,For thinking everyone is not bad...

I just dont understand why there has to be so many dishonest people in the freakin world. I mean I dont claim to be the best trader in the world but I try to do good trades the best I can. If I have messed up discs that get sent to someone I also try to replace them the best I can. I still have to replace a couple discs for 2 people then Im caught up finally. Bynon did seem to be a decent guy but its plain crap to keep promising and then never come through. Plus 40-something discs is alot to lose. I just wanted to have faith in him because he came off a decent sounding guy plus a few in here complimented him and said I could trust him so I did. Anyway I appreciate your comments. And I agree its always nice to find nice trustworthy people along the way while trading. Thats always a plus. Take care. Jim
