View Full Version : Since UM cases require evidence, do you believe in god?

I know this is kind of off-topic but since we all like this show and we all know that no one can say, "god told me he killed him so I know he did it" or some similar statement like that to solve a case because there is no evidence that god exists.

Before you get upset just keep in mind there is no evidence AT ALL that once our body dies that it goes anywhere else!! A pig or any other animal decomposes in the EXACT same way a human body does and they are even trying to use animal organs in human transplants with some success.

The point is we are biological creatures just like a pig and the ONLY difference is we have developed a superior intellegence to fabricate things like god and heaven!! Like the humanitarian Billionaire George Soros (who has seen more in the world than you or I could ever see) said, "God did not create man, Man created god".

I don't mean to be a party pooper but you guys should know the truth. If anyone wants to try and prove me wrong go ahead but I know you cannot because not even the Pope or highest religious authorities can refute what I said and prove that a god or heaven exists.

P.S. I know I posted this on another thread but I just thought I'd hear what you guys have to say.

you must have life to create life.
therefore God made man, not the other way around.

This is the most childish, immature thing I've ever seen posted. Here's a thought, bro: no one cares what you think.

Get a life.

I don't believe in life after death. We are one and done, like all mortal creatures.

That being said, I would never volunteer that opinion, on the internet or in person or via any other means. I'm only responding here because it was asked and I'm sure there will be a flurry of opposing views to follow. In fact, already two predeeding my post.

It's pathetic, but very revealing, that the most religious among us feel compelled to share that mindset, in fact bombard it unnecessarily and ignorantly. Freedom of religion is supposed to mean freedom from religion as well, but the current political climate all but annihilates the latter opportunity. This incompetent and longterm disastrous administration is even championing teachings of an alternate view of creation in school, even though that has been destroyed to lunacy by every reputable scientific source.

themaninblack,

You are right. Life comes from life but it comes from the bubbling cauldron of life of the oceans which we can even see today. Have you seen god create life? No. Have you seen god AT ALL? No. Even if your life depended on it can you show he exists? No.

So, the most likely explaination, as always, is the one that comes from natural mechanisms not from some fantasy being in the sky that not one person on earth can show exists.

AwsiDooger,

You hit the nail on the head. Very insightful response. You seem to understand the nature of life under the laws of physics which religious zealots conveniently forget about.

Mr. Fuji,

Your answer is what is childish and immature since you obviously have nothing worthy to say in response. And no one cares what you think either but this is a message board where we all can post.

It disturbs me greatly that you would open a topic such as this that will most likely upset many people and start possible unwanted ugly arguments.

I would think the classy thing would be to let people live with their beliefs. You coming here and stating something like "you guys should know the truth" pretty much shows that you are lowering yourself to the level of the right wing religious fanatics that try to shove their religious beliefs in other peoples faces - you're just doing it in reverse.

Can't we just have the non-believers in God and the believers in God believe what they believe and leave it at that? These "I dare you to prove me wrong" comments sound a little too Elementary school to me.

If your mind can't be changed, then why ask the question????

second, what kind of proof do you require to know God exists?

third, you or I cannot see, smell, taste or touch carbon monoxide, BUT IT EXISTS.

That's any easy one. You can detect carbon monoxide with equipment like a carbon monoxide detector you can get for your home so you won't ending up sick or dead through carbon monoxide poisining.

Is there any such thing as a god detector? Nope

To solve a UM case you could not say "god witnessed him dump the body in the woods so he did it" because you would have to have god testify and no one can show he even exists much less testify.

If you look at religion worldwide it is all in the MINDS of people and totally subjective. Even the highest religious leaders like the pope cannot provide a shred of evidence that a god or afterlife exists.

I'm not trying to start anything ugly but as UM fans where cases need significant evidence to EXIST to solve them you would think most UM fans would not believe in something that no one on earth can show even EXISTS at all.

Hopefully my response can put an end to this childish, idiotic thread.

It is clear that Big3sCompanyFan believes in only things that he can see, touch, or feel. There is nothing wrong with that, and he is certainly entitled to his own opinions and ways of thinking. However, just because we can't see, touch, or feel something, it does not mean that it does not exist. Those of us who believe in God believe in a supernatural realm; it is a belief that there is something out there that we can't physically see, yet we feel in our hearts that it exists. Most believers have been touched by God in different ways (and I know I have). I don't need to sit here and tell you how on an internet message board, nor do I feel that I need the approval of an immature kid, who talks like he knows everything but in actuality doesn't know anything at all, to believe in God.

There is no logical way to explain God. There never has been, and there never will be. A belief in God requires faith, not a perfect knowledge. If God were to come down to Earth and personally show Himself to you, maybe you would believe, but that is not how God works. We can never convince you, Big3sCompanyFan, that God exists, nor do we care to. Everyone is entitled to his or her beliefs, and no one else should try to change them.

And that should be the end of this thread. Anyone who wants to carry on the conversation should do so an a religious message board, because although B3CF tried to make it seem like this thread had to do with Unsolved Mysteries, it has nothing to do with it at all.

Now let's get back to talking about the best show in the world: Unsolved Mysteries!

These types of posts should not even be put here to begin with. Go to a religious forum. Not a sitcoms/drama forum.

I was being sarcastic with the carbon monoxide thing for the "person" who started this thread; they couldn't even tell when one is being sarcastic. HA! GOD DOES EXIST!! lol And besides, the poster can't even prove that God doesn't exist. Why do we have to prove something or someone exists? You should give us proof that God doesn't. Besides, it doesn't matter to me, the poster will know when he is in the fiery gates of hell with all those non-believers.

The burden of proof is on the one who makes the CLAIM that a certain being or process EXISTS. So, the burden of proof is on the believer to show a god exists that we cannot objectively perceive in any way.
