Johnny S 09-15-2005, 03:02 PM Desperate Housewives, Ned & Stacey (blind buy), and Ren & Stimpy. Most likley only Housewives on Tuesday though.
Dean Winchester 09-15-2005, 03:27 PM so many Housewives haters? SHAME ON YOU!!! lol 4 of 7 voters so far picked none
vashti1999 09-15-2005, 03:35 PM Desperate Housewives is the only one for me
NASHMAN 09-15-2005, 03:40 PM Definitely Desperate Housewives! :D I'm so amazed at how the show got so popular. The other DVD I'm looking forward too is the 2nd season of The Pretender since I liked the fact that Michael T. Weiss did such a great job trying to foil out a plan to the perpetrators causing alot of suffering to the victims, Jarod Russell is the man. :D
Note: James Denton, that guy on DH played Mr. Lyle starting with the 2nd season of The Pretender. :D
Adamantium 09-15-2005, 04:11 PM In Order of Importance:
Ned & Stacey (Season 1)
Desperate Housewives (Season 1)
The Batman (Volume 2)
dawsongirl 09-15-2005, 04:39 PM Nothing. No, not even DH.
PZelda 09-15-2005, 05:20 PM so many Housewives haters? SHAME ON YOU!!! lol 4 of 7 voters so far picked none
I was one of the people that voted none. No DVD's for me this week.
ClassicTV4Ever 09-15-2005, 06:36 PM Heathcliff & The Catillac Cats!
vashti1999 09-15-2005, 07:57 PM I just realized it's very smart timing to release Desperate Housewives the Tuesday after the Emmy Awards, if it ends up winning alot. That'll boost sales even more.
troopoleon8897 09-15-2005, 08:10 PM I may eventully get Heathcliff and Ned & Stacy as I've never seen the first and I somewhat remember the second and I may get Summer Slam some day....
I will be Picking up Crime Story and Desperate Housewives in the begining of November for My dad's birthday and his christmas present...

I do think this past week would've been wiser. Releasing it 5 days before the season premiere is going to cause a lot of cramming episodes

I'd forgotten that I had recorded the first dozen episodes when they originally aired, so I'll get a head start with my cramming this weekend and then pick up from that point when the dvds come out on Tuesday.
Just From The Earth To The Moon, but I'm not sure when I'll be getting around to buying it.
spunkygirl 09-15-2005, 09:57 PM Desperate Housewives, eventually ;)
If I had some extra cash in my pocket (and I don't) I'd go for season one of "Battlestar Galactica." I believe this season one set also includes the original miniseries.
Best sci-fi show to hit TV in years.

I started my cramming yesterday. 3 episodes yesterday and so far 3 today. I plan on squeezing in 3 more between all of the premieres some time tonight so I'll at least be through 9 episodes of Desperate Housewives by tomorrow, pick up from episode 10 and finish the set by Sunday's season premiere.
gilligan fanatic 09-19-2005, 05:03 PM none for now
vashti1999 09-20-2005, 10:21 AM I was already planning on buying Housewives from Target later today, but when I read about the bonus disc on TSOD.com, I ran right out of my office to pick it up before it sold out. I don't like that the bonus disc sleeve is attached to the package, inside the cellophane wrap. I usually leave the cellophane on when I can just so the package stays clean as possible. To get to the bonus disc you either have to just take the cellophane wrap off the case, or cut a slit in the wrap to slide the disc out through it.
Dean Winchester 09-20-2005, 02:53 PM just a warning for those who are just getting DH and watching it for the first time, absolutely avoid the 11 minute interview with Marc Cherry on disc one until you've seen the entire season, the interview was filmed after the season wrapped and gives away the entire series, so if you want to avoid spoilers, stay away from that until you've watched the season finale.
vashti1999 09-20-2005, 03:23 PM Okay, I just reread the SO review of the Housewives set and I didn't get an episode guide in my package, which pisses me off. I won't return it to the store just for that but I wish they'd do a better job of checking these things when they manufacture these sets.
EDIT - Just saw the post on TSOD.com about missing booklets, so I'm a little less pissed.
TVQuack 09-20-2005, 06:41 PM Saw Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats for 25.99 at Best Buy on the shelf. Not sure if there was a sale price or not. I'll pick this up later in the week.
Johnny S 09-20-2005, 07:09 PM I decided not to get Desperate Housewives today, but instead ask for it for my birthday in October. So I haven't gotten any today, but will eventually get Ned & Stacey, Ren & Stimpy as well as Summerslam possibly.

My copy didn't have the booklet either. I thought it was odd that there was a place for it, and all they had were ads for other DVDs.

I called that number they posted on tsod.com, so they should be mailing my booklet. Even though they'll get a discounted bulk mailing rate, I can only imagine how much money it'll cost Buena Vista to mail booklets out to everyone who didn't get one.
