I watched Michael Jackson's BAD on History DVD, and I have to say, I have noticed that Michael's character Darryl is surrounded by boys. Everywhere he goes, there are boys all around him. At school he goes to an all-boys private school. When he comes home, he hangs out with his ALL-MALE friends. :eek: He was even supposed to mug an old MAN! Isn't that too many boys to be artound? :eek: Has anyone seen this video?

Seriously, the song has to do with being aggresive, being confident in your toughness, so it makes sense to have the video in a setting where manhood is challenged, hence the reason why there were a lot of male characters in the video.

3. He realizes that he doesn't fit in with his old friends(They are still his friends though) anymore, and he realizes that he is different from his old friends.
4.All he really wants is to be accepted by his old friends the way he is.
5. In the beginning of the video, he looks up at the camera with a thoughtful, solumn expression, and he seems to be keeping a big secret that he is ready to tell and let it out.

If you watch very closely, you can see Darryl(Michael) and Mini Max(Wesley Snipes) staring into each other's eyes more than a couple of times....Hmmmm.:crazy: :o :eek: :talk: :lol:

Funny, but he only makes fun of the music video part. I am talking abou the film as a film, including the "acting" parts.......

i watched it (the full verison) for the first ime in the weekend and i thought it was GAY! its was godawful...i would expect somehing better from MJ even though he is quite demented lol.

I've heard that Darryl was originally a thug guy. He was a thug true and true. They put braids in Michael's hair and put him in "Ghetto" street clothes. Darryl had guns and would be constantly involved gang crossfires. Darryl was the "bad influence" of his friends. darryl could be cold hearted as hell at many times, and would beat the sh it out of anyone who messed with him or his friends. Darryl was feared around his 'hood.Michael was so convincing as Darryl, the bad guy, that the producers and director and other actors thought that Michael's rep would be tarnished if they allowed this version of Darryl to go through, so they started making Darryl a little softer, a little less intimidating, until they finally came up with the version they did release, the one on History DVD. They made him softer and more likeable, and many people could relate to and sympathize with the newer Darryl. Could this be true?

it does, but I heard they made Michael's character softer because Michael was "TOO GOOD" of an actor and they didn't want his reputation to be marred by the "Thugness" of Darryl.:rolleyes: Because Michael was(is) known to be a nice guy, and that character was originally not nice. He was the Anti-Michael. That is, until they made him softer, like how Michael is.:crazy:

No offense, but is the suitcase that Darryl has kind of ugly, and doesn't match his clothes at all? Who wears gray clothes, and carries a brown suitcase? Oh yeah, he's a guy, maybe that's why he doesn't care that his accessories don't match his clothes.;) :crazy: :lol:

I was trying to be funny(Not MJ bashing,):) AND I LOVE BAD! It is my favorite MJ video of all time!:D I would love to go into a subway and see MJ and his dancers dancing!:D I would swoon and hope Michael would pick me up! I LOVE HIM!:D

Is it just me, or does the "Darryl" character seem like a "rookie" character? To me,, he seems to be a good role for someone just getting into acting, like someone who just got out of acting school or theater school. I don't know if Michael was the right choice for this character. Darryl seems more fitted for a rising star, not a Mega Superstar like Michael was(is)...:confused:

I think Michael was cute, and that's what matters to me. ;)
