My local UPN TV station is airing season 9 of "Roseanne." Right now, "Arsenic and Old Mom" (I may have inavertently transposed the title) is airing, and I could've sworn that the part where Dan is on his motor bike in the garage is NOT aired on Nick-at-Nite. I remember seeing this episode a total of three times (once on my local WB, once on Nick-at-Nite, and now on my local UPN), but I don't recall watching this scene on Nick-at-Nite. Does anyone remember? Was it edited out of Nick-at-Nite, or was I just missing it on that channel??

I have no answer to your question, but I do have a question that's relevant to your topic that I want someone to answer.
In "Arsenic And Old Mom," Roseanne says that Dan put his mom in a mental home TWENTY years ago, which is pretty funny, since he actually did that in season six, just a few years back. Did I just totally misinterpret her line or what?
PS I don't like this episode very much. Dan's mother's mental illness was a very serious, even touching topic in the end of season six (especially when Roseanne holds him and he cries and says "I can't take this!") but then treated it like comedy in this episode. I did not care for that.

I thought the episode was funny but the story rewrite irked me!I guess it's excusable since it was apart of Roseanne's fantasy story she was writing, maybe she rewrote some things to make it more interesting I suppose. I thought I was going crazy because I was like, Dan didn't commit his mother in a hospital 20 years ago?? Didn't his mother commit herself there.I also didn't understand her sudden hatred for her own felsh & blood!

To Brett: I believe she was reffering to her being in and out of mental homes when he was a kid like ed said in season 6...
To Swedeace: Local Sydnication are given Sydnication Prints by Carsey Warner however Nick @ Nite are given the Network prints to make they're own sydnicated cuts...

This was not a very good episode. "Lies My Father Told Me" was one of the best episodes of the sixth season, but "Arsenic and Old Mom" was just bad. The whole notion of mental illness played for comedy just left a bad taste in my mouth, and just didn't gel with how the issue of Dan's mother was handled in season six. There it was handled with intelligence, here the issue was handled very badly.

Right on the money.
