hello im wondering what u all thought of Dans New Boss episode and what u think of the guy who played vincent Daniels wonder what he doing now.anyway this is one of my favorite episodes.

Good episode if a little mean-spirited. Surprised it was allowed to air, like how NBC justified it. I guess you chalk it up to "hey people get made fun of". Dan Frishman was one of the better dwarf actors back then, I assume he died because he had a huge string of credits from like 81-93 that all of a sudden stop. I do know that dwarf actor David Rappaport committed suicide, but Warwick Davis is still with us.

This episode truly is a classic. I was crying laughing all over again. As for the subject issue and how it was allowed to air....don't forget. It made Dan think about his own inadequacies and no one agreed with Dan. Harry as you recall called Dan a "prejudiced jerk!" I think the episode did a great job of pointing out people's insensitivities.

I have it TiVOed along with all of last night's TV Land Easy View episodes. Can't wait to see it.

One of my favorite Night Court episodes. It was great to see it again after all these years. :D

That was HILARIOUS! Dan getting treated by his midget boss! OMG! I think that this is one of mymost hilarious episodes, EVER!

BTW, I always thought that Dan Frischman, who plays Dan's boss Vic, look like he was Chucky on the Child's Play movies. He sounds like Chucky and even looks like Chucky in a way.

I'd say that before Verne Troyer's days, Dan Frischman was the orignal funny midget.

I finally got to see this episode. It was great, even though at times Dan got a bit extreme. It's one of the first episodes I've seen where he starts to show some real emotion and character, instead of just being the "horny guy".

It was good that it allowed a dwarf a sort of forum to show us what their lives are like. I'm sure there was a bit of autobiographical truth in Frishman's words of what they go through. Odd that another actor named Dan Frischman actually played Arvid on Head of the Class. No getting them confused :)

Night Court dropped the ball in terms of great recurring characters leaving. All of sudden Leon, Yakov, the Wheelers (I know Spiner did Star Trek, but still), Dan's boss, Sheila. Leon to come back as an adult would've been great, Yakov to see Harry one more time. I mean the Wheelers buy the newstand at the cliffhanger, then over the summer Spiner gets Star Trek and poof, they're gone! Tsssss. At least they did something with Phil/Will.

It's funny that you mention the departure of some of these memorable characters. I remember Brent Spiner saying in an interview that there were talks to make the Wheelers part of the "regular group" of characters, but the show didn't get renewed and that curbed the plans. As for Yakov, he lst appeared in season seven. His character had become very successful selling furniture (if I remember that correctly) but his life was going downhill and Harry had to pretty much bail him out of his hole. Christine called Yakov one of Harry's "pet cases" when she was talking to Harry. After that he was never on again. Sheila was a good character, but her appearances were almost making Dan a one woman man. Leon was an okay character but not too many fans were crazy about him. Maybe that's why he never appeared again. The characters I missed the most that never made many appearances again were Buddy and Christine's father. I thought these two added some great comedic moments to the show.

I was mistaken, because I thought that 'Dan's Boss' was the Teri Hatcher episode, until I saw it.

Yeah nitcrt1 totally forgot about Buddy. Huge moments for Harry finding his father, then Buddy is married and never heard from again. Or maybe his final ep was Christine's baby birth.

Leon stuff showed a lot of depth to Harry's character as a surrogate dad. Bringing back a child all grown up is a great visual, they should've done it.

When you say about Spiner, "the show didn't get renewed", what do you mean?

I mean that the show was going to be cancelled. From an interview I read with Brent Spiner, he was in talks to make the Wheelers regular characters. Unfortunately, the show didn't come back on in order to do that.

But what show? Night Court?? Sorry it just sounds like you're saying Night Court got cancelled so the Wheelers weren't brought on.

Okay, let me try and clarify. The show WAS "Night Court." Now, here's where my memory gets a bit foggy. It was either in "Night Court's" eighth or ninth year that talks were going on. Something tells me it may have been during year nine. (Remember, cast members didn't know the show was going to really end until the 11th hour in year nine.) I remember Brent saying something like they were going to bring the Wheelers back to "Night Court" as regular characters but the show was never renewed, so of course it never got to happen. I'll have to see if I can track down that article again.

Okay after doing some research, I found that I was sort of correct. Brent Spiner and Annie O' Donnell were in talks to become regular characters after the episode where they buy the newstand. ( I think the episode was "Her Honor".) Anyway, Brent ended up auditioning for "Star Trek" and landing the role of Data. As a result, he and Annie never became regular characters. I don't know what had me thinking about he and Annie becomming regular characters, then "Night Court" not getting renewed. Again, I remember reading in an interview with Brent about his "Night Court" plans, but that was a while ago.

No prob, I knew about the Star Trek deal, but it was news that they considered the Wheelers for the last season, so thought I'd ask. I still go around doing Spiner's....
