View Full Version : The Pot is empty.
GeorgeWBushGOP 09-12-2005, 08:37 PM It is apparant in the "THelma moves out" episode.
But also it appears everytime somebody is cooking on that stove there is nothing in the pot.
You can see about 3/4 of the way down on that thing and nothing. No spots. Nothing on the spoon. Nada.
THe pot is always empty. If you watched today's episode or have it on DVD. Take a look where Willona is cooking. That pot is clearly empty. And they are clearly not adding anything to the pot.
boechsner 09-12-2005, 09:24 PM In the episode, J.J. Gets a Patron, there is clearly oatmeal in the pot. I guess it just depends on the episode.
Brieannas21 09-12-2005, 10:54 PM On one episode i can't remember which one, I'll have to look at my DVD's. But Florida was frying chicken and the oil in the pan was clearly hot because the chicken actually started to fry. Now I know there was another episode when Willona was cooking chicken stew and there was something in the pot because Bookman came over and took a chicken wing out the pot and there were some red liquid on the spoon.
Ireneparalegal 09-12-2005, 11:08 PM Have u all ever noticed that oatmeal and it's consistency. I know for television, the food may not actually be food, and/or it may be made differently to withstand the hot lights and the long shoot. The consistency of that oatmeal was soooo damn thick!!!! YUCK!!!! And it seemed they ate it right out of the pot. I don't know what brand that is supposed to be or how other people eat it, but, I usually add hot milk and sugar to make it creamy. The way the Evans' supposedly ate it made it disgusting.

I agree, it was disgusting looking. It looked more like oatmeal someone barfed up :o instead of something that just came from the cooking pot...
Ireneparalegal 09-12-2005, 11:43 PM I agree with you 70's YUCK!!!!!!!

I know for a fact that Florida cooked different meals; but it seemed that majority of the time, the main course was chicken, fired chicken, chicken backs, etc, etc. then for breakfast is was ALWAYS instant oatmeal..I am surprised that the Evans family did not complain of being constipated
:fart:

That's kinda like a really thick piece of bacon, but has way way more fat on it then meat. It's mostly used for seasoning, for things like red beans and greens.
Ireneparalegal 09-13-2005, 09:12 PM oh yeah, that's right. I had put greens on a previous post. are turnip greens the same thing?

There are different type of Greens.
TVFactFan 09-14-2005, 11:32 AM There are different type of Greens.
All type of Greens is YUCKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ireneparalegal 09-14-2005, 11:36 AM All type of Greens is YUCKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really??? Why???? Are the greens just boiled? Do you add anything to it? I imagine it to be kinda like spinach, need to add butter and salt to it.
Brieannas21 09-14-2005, 01:34 PM I think it all depends on how they're fixed. Greens can be very bland and gross, But they can also be very good. You can add different types seasonings to your greens. My Grandma on my moms side, her greens are really good. I've had some greens that other people have cooked and they are gross and will make you gag. So I guess it's all in how they are cooked and what you've put in them, but someone just don't like them and others do .
hatwink 09-14-2005, 02:41 PM Greens are cool and delicious.
TVFactFan 09-14-2005, 06:20 PM Honestly, I was never a fan of veggies
