I don't think there are sveral eps of this show in existence since it was never in syndication. I only have 1 episode

You really have to get over this "not in existence" kick. Just because you cannot find any does not mean they do not exist. Just about any show made after 1979 (or thereabouts) is most likely sitting in an archive somewhere. Your inability to find copies in the tape trading circuit does not mean the shows are gone.

Ok you are right. I meant to say it's very unlikely that more than 2 eps are available in the trading circuit.

I have heard that one sitcom "My Living Doll" which starred "Julie Newmar" and was made in 1964 HAS been pretty much destroyed! Every episode is gone Except six episodes! My question is: How can this be true? If some network spends millions of dollars for a sitcom WHY would they destroy all of the prints? This show was made in 1964 NOT the 1920's! Also WHO is in charge of film vaults in general?

There are nine episodes of My Living Doll known to exist. As for why the episodes are missing or lost, there are no concrete answers. Rumors point to the creator of My Living Doll wanting the episodes destroyed, but there is no solid evidence to back that up. Sadly, there are plenty of shows from the 1960s (not to mention the 1940s and 1950s) that are missing episodes and nobody really knows why.

The six episodes you listed are the six episodes that exist in the hands of private collectors. The UCLA Film & Television Archive has three additional episodes:

"Rhoda's First Date"
"I'll Leave It To You"
"Kleptomaniac"

However, these three episodes have not found their way into collector's circles, as far as I know.

Gilligan, Green Acres, The Munsters, Hogans Heroes, The Beverly Hillbiles, Mister Ed, The Lucy Show, Andy Griffith, Get Smart, My Favorite Martian, Adam-12, The FBI, Flipper, The Flinstones, Laugh In, Gomer Pyle, Batman, The Man From U.N.C.L.E, The Fugitive. The 60's was a great decade for TV.

Well, I believe you can view them at UCLA. But getting copies is probably out of the question. Most archives have strict rules about that sort of thing and unless you are the copyright holder or otherwise have permission it is nearly impossible to get copies made. I actually have no idea who holds the copyright for the series.

I remember hearing that as well. A lot of actors and actresses try to put together collections of all their work and come up against missing episodes. It must be much more frustrating for them than it is for us, the television viewer. Imagine discovering that your hard work may be lost forever.

and some other magazines/newspapers that deal with old Film can help. sometimes i have picked up rare stuff on 8mm or 16mm film and then u have to arrange to have it transfered

ALSO it is 100% true about tv stars not being able to get their own shows
over the years, i have had over a dozen tv actors get copies of their shows from me, b/c the networks and studios were no help to them at all

a real shame how the tv stars of yesteryear are treated by those they work for--- i am 100% sure if a start like Brad Pitt wanted something he would get it right away, BUT if we are talking a star like Tim Conway, then maybe not so much effort to get it for him
