Hi. You all seem to be huge fans, and I need to know something that's been driving me insane.
In the episode, "Leon, We Hardly Knew Ye", where Harry is concerned for the well being of a little boy who is being adopted out, Mel Torme appears in the courtroom. What is the name of the song he sings to Harry??? Thanks for your help.

The name of the song is "Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues"

That has been on my mind for a long time now.

The funny thing is that I have been trying to track down Mel Torme's version of the song but I have been unsuccessful. It has been recorded by many country artists, including Elvis, but I can't find Mel's version.

This is sketchy, I know, but have you searched one of the P2Ps or iTunes?
I'm sure that someone out there has the song uploaded.

Probly the best shot of the entire series, and it was by John Larroquette of all people. Surprised as a former sitcom actor he doesn't direct more. But the use of his crane shot and that song made for one of the best moments of the series.

Maybe Mel recorded it just for the show.

I would have to say that you may be right. Mel may really have only recorded the song for the show. The song did really fit. I did like Mel's version of it.
