so brian Krause won't be in the opening credits at all? I thought that he would be in the credits but only for the episodes he appears in.

Nah, I am pretty sure they will keep Leo in the credits... they will just do like they did with Chris and Darryl. They will put him in the credits when he is in the episode, and won't when he is not

why is Kaley Cuoco in the opening credits when she's only going to be in a several episode arc?

she's actually going to be appearing throughout season 8. I thought she was only going to be in 6 episodes, but she is in all the promo campaigns and she's mentioned in spoilers for other episodes.

As far as I know Kaley Cuoco is a series regular, and not just a recurring character. Someone at thechamermedones.com started this five episode rumor. You can tell by the publicity and credits she is a regular. As a fan of hers, I am glad. :)

I've never seen the opening credits for season 8. In that case, TNT aired the opening credits from seasons 1-7. I hope WB would air new episodes soon. Alyssa Milano is coming back, but I hope that I would like to see the opening credits for season 8 on the WB when it comes on.

It stinks how Brian isnt gonna be a full-time cast member.

I dunno if I like the addition of Kaley or not. The show has always been about the Halliwells, but now they're adding a hot teen star in the hopes it'll attract some of One Tree Hill and OC's audience? With a fourth character, doesn't this discard the entire "Power of three" mantra the show has been built on since day one?

I think she's Paige's whitelighter charge or something, it was probably the only way that they could figure out for the girls to use their powers again.

I have seen the opening credits video for season 8 and Brian Krause and Kaley Cuoco are both in the opening credits along with the three Charmed ones.

Originally I was happy about Kaley being on the show but now I'm not so sure. The show seems to be focusing less on the Halliwells and more on another character. I nearly think that Charmed will be a like a different show now :grr:

I am very happy to have a new character on the show. The show is now 8 years old, and is getting stale. They need a new character to give the show some refreshing story lines. I love Kaley in the role, and look forward to some new storyline.

Nice opening theme for season 8. I would love to see new episodes when it comes on. The previous openings for seasons 1-7 are from TNT. WB had this great opening. Thanks a lot superbowl.

well, out of curiosity (since I remember what an 8SR fan you were), were you a Charmed fan pre-Kaley, or are you just deciding to watch Charmed now to fill your Kaley Cuoco void now that 8SR is gone? If it's the latter, than your opinion makes sense, but most people I know including myself who go back to the Prue years think the show has become a joke these days and bringing in a hot teen star is just another nail in the coffin. While seasons 5-7 were nowhere as good (IMO) as seasons 1-4, they all had moments of greatness, the way the show looks now, the show is beyond saving and should've ended last spring.

Remember, Cousin Pam was brought into "bring new storylines" into The Cosby Show and I don't know anyone who doesn't think her introduction damn near killed the show. Paige was a welcome new character, the show HAD to have somebody fill the void left after Prue's death for the show to carry on, and she is every bit as associated with Charmed as Shannen is now. Kaley Cuoco is an obvious "all our stars are over 30, this is a WB show so we need to bring somebody young and sexy in now that Alyssa's almost 33". There's no real point in adding a new Charmed one, especially at the disposal of two actors who have been with the show since the first season (Brian and Dorian)

I did watch occasionally, but not regularly. I did love 8SR and Kaley was a big part of it. I really just wish everyone would give her a chance. She is a terrific young actress. Remember, she got this job a few weeks after
8SR cancellation without even auditioning. That tells you what the producers thought of her. Give her a chance. You might actually like her.

Honestly, I think this is the last year for Charmed with or without a new character. Most of the critics were surprised that it was renewed for an eighth season. Why not just enjoy it while it last rather than analyze the show constantly.

well, I don't (and I know a lot of others who feel the same way) think Charmed has been a GREAT show since season 4. Season 5 flat-out sucked, Season 6 was a return to form but there was something missing watching the reruns and Season 7 felt like all the actresses were sleeping their way through the show. If anything, "Something Wicca This Way Goes" would've been a perfect series finale.

I do like Kaley, and she is a good actress. I used to watch 8SR before John Ritter died, and I thought Kaley was great. But I don't know if I like the addition of her character to the show.

I liked the premiere but I honestly dont think that Kaley is a nessascary character. They should be focusing more on the Halliwells and their new identities.

It IS the last year.

I heard one of the reasons they brought Kaley in was to establish the character enough to give her a spinoff next fall.

Personally, if there's going to be a Charmed spinoff show, I'd like to see one about the whitelighters

Brad Kern seems to think that the show could go for another couple of years. So does Alyssa Milano.

I think season 8 is definately the last unless it pulls a renaissance in the ratings. Nobody expected season 8 to happen

Thanks for the clip. I hope TNT will soon to run the final season opening credits with the three Charmed ones along with Kaley Cuoco and Brian Krause once again. Maybe TNT will have a fit for all the entire eight seasons except the first three seasons with Shannen Doherty in the opening credits before Rose McGowan joins the show for seasons 4-8. I've seen the opening with Brian Krause in the last two episodes "Kill Billie - Vol 2" and "Forever Charmed", the last episode of the series.
