That girl that kidnapped Shawn was Jan Spears, she hasn't been on in months and there's no explanation as to what happened to her. Chloe was in a car accident last year and it scarred her face.

Jan is still in the coma that she slipped into after she hit her head while she and Mimi were fighting. She woke up once or twice to mumble that Mimi tried to kill her at the precise moment a police detective entered her room, but slipped back into the coma again. Mimi was exhonerated when the security camera tape from a business nearby showed that it was an accident.

Chloe was one of a thousand characters that was thought to be dead last year, but she wasn't part of the Tony Dimera/ Serial Killer/Salem Island Volcano story line deaths. She was in a car accident in Paris, while touring as an opera singer. She didn't want anyone to see her scarred face, so she moved back to Salem where everybody who knew her lived and spent a year almost getting seen, but getting away at the last minute, by everyone in Salem.
