Dean Winchester 09-08-2005, 02:40 AM have Taxi and Peep Show already. Peep Show is a British show that is told completely from point-of-view. You only see the characters faces when two people are in a room. It's pretty cool but I couldn't get over the lead's dead-on resemblence in both face and voice to Mike Myers. He looks like normal MM but talks like Austin Powers minus "yea baby", lol.
I might pick up One Tree Hill as a gift for somebody, but besides that, Taxi and Peep Show are all I need for now. One day I would like to eventually start a Cheers/Frasier DVD collection, but will probably wait until I have a better job. At this point with both shows, might be best to wait in case they do a Friends/Buffy style complete series box set.
PZelda 09-08-2005, 05:06 AM Brady Bunch, Cheers AND Taxi, of course!
troopoleon8897 09-08-2005, 07:03 AM I'll eventully pick up The Brady Bunch, Fraiser, and Taxi but the first one i'll be getting is Cheers...
vashti1999 09-08-2005, 09:54 AM Definitely:
Brady Bunch (Season Three)
Tony Orlando and Dawn (The Ultimate Collection) - I loved this show as a kid, I hope it holds up
Hopefully:
One Tree Hill (Season Two)
Sigmund and the Sea Monsters (The Complete 1st Season)
Smallville (The Complete Fourth Season)
Considering, but probably won't get:
Taxi (The Complete Third Season) - I think all my favorite episodes are from the first two seasons, so this isn't mandatory for me
Ant-Lox 09-08-2005, 10:46 AM Finnaly FRASIER!!!!
Dr. Jazz 09-08-2005, 12:54 PM TAXI Season 3
TV DVD Fan 09-08-2005, 12:56 PM I'm low on dough, so only Cheers for now, then Taxi, Frasier and Brady.

vashti1999 09-08-2005, 04:49 PM Sigmund and the Sea Monsters (Season 1)
I actually just received this today after my last post. I watched one episode and it looks pretty decent. Three eps have commentaries and there's an interview segment with the two kids (as adults now), but I didn't watch that yet.
Skywalker 09-08-2005, 09:46 PM Taxi - Season 3
ClassicTV4Ever 09-08-2005, 10:53 PM SCTV Network 90 - Vol. 4
spunkygirl 09-08-2005, 11:32 PM Smallville-Season 4
Dean Winchester 09-08-2005, 11:38 PM Smallville-Season 4
I was always curious to know if you liked Taxi or not, since I know you love Tony on WTB?.

I never much cared for it, I watched it growing up and Marilu Henner got on my nerves really bad. It's not a bad show, just not something that appeals to me :)

lol, yea. She and Jeff Conaway were my least favorites
Even though I am a bigger Taxi fan, I'm surprised 3 Taxi sets have come out since season 1 of WTB. But then, I guess it's the same way with the Ron Howard fans, and 3 seasons of Andy Griffith have come out since season 1 of Happy Days.

A couple years ago, I went on a Sid & Marty Kroft craze. I bought tapes of Pufnstuf, Sigmund and Land of the Lost. Both Sigmund and LOTL were cheap copies, however, Pufnstuf was a real Rhino release. Now that the DVDs are coming out, I'm sure to buy all of them. One day, I'll recreate Nick at Nite's Puff-a-Palooza Marathon.
After viewing most episodes of Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, I like season two a bit more. That season, they added Rip Taylor (I believe) as a big green genie. But season 1 was still good.
I just now remembered, a few years back (like 1996 or 97), when I'd wake up to go to Church, I'd get ready to *Fox Family Channel's "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters" and "Far Out Space Nuts" (Another Bob Denver series). Both of these are shows I want on DVD.
*Or whatever the name of the network was then. ;)
**********
I have a little rant on "Taxi." I love that show and the DVDs are great. The only problem I have is that the episodes are in broadcast order. Syndication (plus N@N) goes by production order. That's not the big deal. The big deal is that because they're doing broadcast order, two episodes that were made in season three but aired in season four, are not included in the set. I assume they'll be in the season four set, I just like to have them all together.
Joker85 09-09-2005, 11:52 PM definitely getting Frasier: Season 6. Eventually I'll get Las Vegas Season 2 and Cheers Season 6, but not right away.

one small complaint about season 3 (I've had it for a week). I believe the first episode ("Louie's Rival") may be the syndicated version. That episode is roughly 90-120 seconds shorter than the rest of the episodes. I finished the set and everything else is uncut and 24:30-25:00, but that episode was like 23:02.
About the broadcast order, look at it this way, less season 3 episodes now means MORE season 4 episodes when that comes out in 4-6 months or so :)
TVFactFan 09-12-2005, 10:54 PM Only thing I see somewhat Interesting is Tony Orlando and Dawn. But I wouldn;'t pay more than $20.00 for it.

I rather watch the edited eps of the Brady Bunch on TV LAND than buy the DVD
slackermonkey 09-14-2005, 05:17 PM Cheers: The Complete Sixth Season and Frasier: The Complete Sixth Season. Haven't gotten them yet, but I'm working on it.
