Season 1-4 JJ or...

Season 5 & 6 JJ>

Now that I'm watching season 5 DVD, I'm realizing JJ ain't no fun. He's too stiff, he don't know what to do with his hands and he don't know what facial expressions to make cause he's trying to hard to NOT being funny, and it ain't funny. I like season 1-4 JJ.

I liked season 1 and 2 JJ better LOL season 3-6 I didn't like. Also isn't it funny that since they changed writers JJ seem to become smarter in season 5 and 6. Like in the episode Willona's Mr. Right, Penny was writing a letter to Willona because she was going to run away from home and she was asking JJ about her letter. And JJ went on a rant about different ways you can write a sentence and about nouns, pronouns, dangling participles and conjunctions. That was just odd for JJ. LOL

I can't believe you mentioned that about him knowing all about the nouns and pronouns. I thought the same thing.

Did you like J.J with his S-Curl in Season 5? He looked like a Suave Frog-LOl

J.J. was best and funniest in season 1. He wasn't the "star" of the show then, and he had more edge and street smarts in those days. It was a nice ensemble between J.J. the shady artist, Michael the revolutionary, Thelma the star-struck teen, Florida the humorous housewife and mother, and James the hard-working, between jobs father who was scrapping and surviving but was the backbone of the family. They got further and further away from these things after season 1 and by season 3 JJ was just a clown.

I just liked J.J. in certain episodes, especially when James wasn't around. In episodes, "J.J. New Career" He had that fire in his eyes, because he wanted to get the family out of the projects. That Dyn-no-mite crap was gone. I also liked him in episode "Richer is better than poorer.....maybe" because he took charge and slapped the money out that woman's hands. He acted like a man.

He wore the BLUE HAT in those two episodes, just not the whole show. So there was no JJ before the BLUE HAT, does that mean you never liked him?

 Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

No, I couldn't stand that man perm, He needed his BLUE HAT on. That's what I mean, it's like he was a-whole-nother character. And his clothes too, they were too nice, he needed his purple turtleneck on. I know they tried to make him grow up in season five, but what fun is that? :)

Good summary. I know JJ was a clown in season 3 but I still liked him.

Those are two of my favorite episodes in season 4. As long as JJ had on his blue hat and purple sweater, that's the JJ I know and love. :D
