If I could could do it all over again, I would have played high school sports. During my four years in school, I never played a sport. I chose to work instead. There wasn't a lot of money in the household growing up, and I had to do what I had to do. I would have played basketball, football, ran track, and played cross country. I played sports on the streets, though.

I would do school (grades 6-10) again. I am very shy, so I would try to be more outgoing and friendly. I would also play a sport, like GARFIELDKOOL said.

*begin flashback of sarah in a restaurant many years ago*

Waiter: Ma'am I need a decision.
Sarah: Uh... umm.. salad. no, wait! SOUP!
Narrator: But it was too late.

And to this day, I still lay awake at night wondering about the soup that got away...

Last weekend I said some very mean things to a really good friend of mine. I really wish I could take back all the things I said.

I would definitely have not said, "Don't 'duh' me" during last night's IM convo. *sigh*

I would have gone into the service for a couple years after HS. I've always regretted not doing that.

I have so many "If I could do it all over agains", but the one that really stays on my mind, is back in the early 80's, when I had my first crush on this guy, I loved him so much that I couldn't speak to him at all. :o Even when he spoke to me, I just froze up, completely. It was embarrassing and frustrating and given the chance, I would go back and talk to him and tell him how I felt. :)

I would have been more outgoing in HS and had a totally different set of friends...though there wasn't much to choose from at my school.

Not said every odd and stupid thing to Ryan that I did...but I hindsight, it may not have been such a bad thing, because it brought out the real him, and it was an ugly sight.

Gotten help for my anxiety before it became so serious, I was flunking out of school.

Taking that one job...I still have nightmares.

I wouldn't do a thing over. Every ****ty decision I have made in the past, every pile of **** I've landed myself in, it's taught me important lessons in life. Everything has happened for a reason, and I'm glad it happened early enough that it didn't destroy my life.

Like you Garfield, I wish I had done a sport in school. Damn it. My main regrets though are the times I hurt my father with my stupid words or actions. I made him cry on two occasions and I wish to God I could do over again or at least have had the damn brains to not have done that. I wish so much I could take that back. I had the opportunity to tell my dad how sorry I was for being a rebellious teen. I told him last year (exactly a year ago today, how weird, I see this post today) when he was dying from cancer. He just looked at me and touched me on my head. It made me cry cuz I felt like his little girl again.

When I was in my 20's..I wished I spent more time having fun and enjoying life to the fullest and not being so afraid of life...

Sorry about your father, Irene.
