View Full Version : The movie Skin Deep!~
jackslovelady 09-04-2005, 05:28 PM I watched this last night, ( i own it ), anyway,i was focusing on John's performance,( who else L.M.F.A.O ) and i could not get over how adorable and talented he was in it!! I mean, there is a scene were he comes out of getting therapy,he goes to the elevator,a pretty, young girl comes out, he follows her down the hall. this leads him to a dermatology office. His ex "fling" Molly sees him and is still very angry at his character! She give him shock therapy which makes his muscles contract(this is already hilarious), she just keeps turning up the voltage. He leaves the office, and he being the wonderful physical comedian that he is, of course he is going to make you laugh, so he just continuously twitches... I have seen this movie countless times, and every time it approaches this scene, i have to pause it and go to the bathroom, otherwise i would wet myself from laughing so D*** hard!! Everytime i see it, I am LITERALLY on the floor,*cracks up just thinking about it...snorts* Not only is he just drop dead hilarious in it, but he is also very handsome as well.... tip/top shape, great hair, and a very lushious beard and mustache.... His great blue eyes just pop out at you, very nice. Just thought i would bring this up, i cherish this movie, i think it is one of his funniest..  :eek3: :eyes: :winkgrin  :brent
Brian Damage 09-04-2005, 05:45 PM I own the movie myself. It is very good.
CM1124 09-04-2005, 09:12 PM Although the "glow in the dark" scene is probably what people remember most about the film, I totally agree the shock therapy scene is the funniest! "I wish I didn't hate you so much Zach..."
LuLu Rogers 09-04-2005, 09:26 PM I own the movie and that scene always kills me! Over all though, I really didn't care for this movie, it's just not like John to be so dark and graphic in his acting. John himself refused to watch this movie. I think it was just a little too harsh for John's usual acting style. JMO.

Hmm..that's interseting though.
Anyway, I LOVED this movie!! I could not stop laughing the first time I saw it!! Whenever I'm upset, I just put in this movie, and it makes me laugh and forget about my problems! :D John always does that for me! ;)

I heard it from a fellow John Ritter fan, can't remember who though, lol :p Don't get me wrong, I thought the movie was very funny, but "Zach's" attitude toward treating women as nothing but sex objects just wasn't normal for John, even in character. But again, that's JMO. This movie does have some great scenes that make me laugh, especially the shock therapy scene!
jackslovelady 09-05-2005, 02:24 AM Hehehehehehehe.... glad you all agree with me!! It is such a great scene, i love it when he finally gets to the parking lot, twitching all the way, and takes the blind mans cane, then he sees his therapist and says "go f@#* yourself"... too hilarious!! Pure greatness!!! :) ;) :p :D  :happyface
@ #1 John Ritter Fan: Yet another great avatar (love that picture!!)

I never thought John would play a role like that, but I thought he was good at it. ;) He's such a good actor.
BTW, GREAT avatar!! :D

LOL, I'm just goofy. I agree with you also, John still did a great job acting in this movie, just wasn't a great role for him to play, IMO.
Thanks! "Ole Watchdog Jack, that's me!" LOL!
SheltonBentley 09-06-2005, 10:39 PM I love that movie :D Probably my second favorite after "Letting Go" The shock therapy scene is definitely one of the best parts.I also could not stop laughing during the scene where he thinks he killed the dog  It took me a long time to find that dvd in a store but I finally stumbled across it at Borders and it was well worth the search!
Austin Tripper 09-17-2005, 09:16 PM I bought the DVD and I love this film  It is the closest to the Jack Tripper character with a "R Rated" edge
JackTripper258 09-17-2005, 10:33 PM i totally agree...i've seen it but i really want to get it on DVD...

The only movie that I heard John Ritter had trouble watching of himself is "Unforgivable". He did not refuse to watch it, but he said that he had to watch it in two sittings. Are you sure that he refused to watch "Skin Deep", or did he watch it in two sittings? Maybe you got this movie mixed up with "Unforgivable"?
