Fred already thought he was gay. And I thought that was gay on Lamont's part moving in with Julio that time because he didn't see eye to eye with Fred.

I always thought Julio was HOT. Even with his Bald head.

Especially when Lamont said he was moving in with Julio to get some "warmth, affection, and love." I love Fred's response.
Fred:"...and you'll get flees, bees and a tropical disease."

Maybe they could have pulled Bette Midler for Julio.

I enjoyed all Julio appearances on S&S and wished Barney Miller was never created, damm-lol

Is that because if Barney Miller wasn't created, Julio would have still been on Sanford and Son?

You're right, even with his bald spot he was so so fine. I would have taken him over Lamont any day if I a young woman back then. Also, I don't recall even hearing Julio so much as mention a girlfriend or having a date. Correct me if I'm wrong.

jayjay, you have been the most active Sanford and Son poster in a while. I hope you stick around and give this board some life.

No, Julio never mentioned a girlfriend or had a date.

Who was he gonna date, Jackie Warnsby?

Fred: "You know, the girl with the skinny legs and the big..."
Lamont: "POP!"

Well, I do like Barney Miller, but his character Chano wasn't even there for 2 full seasons- there was no reason to go to that show! (anyone know why Gregory Sierra left?)

I enjoyed all of Julio's appearances too, and it would have great if he stayed as a supporting character throughout S&S's run.

Put me down as another girl who thinks Gregory Sierra was a HOTTIE back in the day!! I was born in 1979, so that should tell you something! LOL I loved him as Julio, Chano and El Puerco. I also enjoyed his various guest spots on shows such as the Waltons, Miami Vice, MacGyver and more. If you want to see him play romance, which he didn't do very often, check out the Kung Fu episode, "The Stone", from season 1, which is available on DVD. I was swooning! LOL

P.S. I think S&S missed the boat by not having Julio and Lamont go on a double date. Think of the possibilities!!

Julio and Lamont going on a double date would have been a great ep idea while Redd Foxx was temporarily away from the show instead of all the eps revolving around ******** ass Grady
