This is one that's worthy of being on the Bizarre Murders set, unlike certain others(Texas Most Wanted being the first to come to mind).

If you don't remember the story, it took place in Chicago(or the vicinity) on Oct. 28, 1991. Police got a call from a man who said he went into a house and found a body on a bed in a back bedroom. It was the body of dancer Jamie Santos, who had been beaten and strangled to death. Police are not sure if the caller was the killer, who called out of regret of his deed, or just a passerby who noticed the front door open and went in to investigate. When the dispatcher asked the caller when he was at the house he just said "Bye" and hung up.

If I am incorrect on any of this info, go ahead and correct it. IMO I think the caller was merely a curious passerby who chose not to be identified and not to disclose that he was merely "investigating", for to do so would bring upon him suspicion. If it were really someone regretting a killing, you'd think they'd turn themselves in and confess. Does this case have any updates?

That case of Jamie Santos really intrigued me 'cos of the 911 caller. It's one of those cases that seems like just one clue could break the case wide open. Taped the case and details were there was evidence of a struggle. Wonder if any fingerprints or other DNA are available.... :confused:

If there are, the cops aren't saying, and most likely for good reason. They don't have a suspect. Therefore, publicizing specific details about any potential evidence (even DNA or fingerprints) found at the crime scene could jeopardize the case.
