We did what we thought got the biggest laughs and such in another thread of mine, but now lets turn the tables.

Whats your Ultimate TV Moment?

It could be funny, sad, or anything in between.

My ultimate television scene would have to be the second to last one in "Coach's Daughter." Coach's saying how Lisa is the most beautiful girl in the whole world is priceless.

Lisa- And mom was not... comfortable about her beauty.
Coach- But thats what made her more beautiful. Your mother grew more beautiful everyday of her life.
Lisa- She was really beautiful.
Coach- Yes and so are you. You're the most beautiful kid in the whole world.
Lisa- (smiles) Thanks daddy.

My all time favorite scene in television. It was poignant, it was terrific, it was from the heart.

Whats yours?

To me, one of the most touching moments ever on TV (and one I haven't seen in years) was the episode of "Archie Bunker's Place" when Archie is alone in his room and he finally breaks down over the loss of Edith. It is the one moment when you see Archie at his most scared and vulnerable, and it was brillaintly done by Carol O' Connor.

The Last 15 minutes of the Last episode of Roseanne. I know alot of people hate It but, I think It was original, different, and creative at the same time as pretty much closing off all the open ends of the show IMO it was truely a classic ending...

The episode before the seinfeld finale "the puerto rican day" when that show aired, it was kind of weird knowing that their would only be one episode left.....

When Miss Ellie of Dallas finally accepts the loss of her beloved Jock and she walks into the kitchen and knocks off the dishes off the counter and is crying. She even falls to her knees. While she is crying she is saying: "Why did you leave me Jock, Why?". So sad, and to me, this was real, not acting, since she and her co-star were so close. She may have really been feeling the loss of Jim Davis, who played Jock. It reminds me of how I had reacted to a family member's death. Very Very Touching and Real.

Ironically, that scene in "Coach's Daughter" is one of my least favorite moments of the entire series. It would have worked anywhere else, but in Cheers which was nonstop comedy most of the time, it didn't quite fit.

I agree. That actress playing Lisa just was not working for me. It seemed so forced.

As for favorite moments, I have so many. Most of them involve Sam either acting stupid or throwing some sort of fit on Cheers.

YOUR TOP 10 TV MOMENTS

Mine are in no order

*--- this one is in order

The final scene of The Mary Tyler Moore Show
The final scene of I Do, Adieu Cheers episode
Archie's Breakdown
Seeing the pilot credits of "Jerry", the show inside the show of Seinfeld, when it says "Created by Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza."
Sam and Diane's First Kiss
The last scene of Cheers when everyone is leaving the bar after Diane leaves Sam again, and when he touches the picture of the Indian in remembrance of Coach
Norm sitting on Andy Andy
Sammy kissing Archie

and I've changed the order of the Coach's Daughter Scene, the final two are in order.

2. Coach's Daughter final scene.

and my all time favorite TV moment, the end of "Lucy is Enceinte." That scene describes the whole show, and the love of Lucy and Desi IMO. You can just tell they are in love, and even after they divorced, they still were in love, until the days they died. Just looking at the footage of Desi's funeral on the THS of "I Love Lucy" was heartbreaking seeing Lucy's face.

Whats your Ultimate TV Moment?...

IMO, the ultimate TV moments were the first reports from the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001.

On a lighter note, I would also include when Jason Sehorn asked Angie Harmon to marry him on The Tonight Show.

As far as on a 'normal' (i.e. - fictional) tv show, when Vinnie Terranova broke the news to Sonny Steelgrave that he was actually a cop, and then had to watch while Steelgrave committed suicide, on Wiseguy.

Lastly, on a sports note, when the Red Sox came back to beat the Yankees in game 4 of the 2004 ALCS (though actually winning the World Series was pretty close to ultimate, too :) :) )

As far as TV goes(not real-life events - man on the moon) stuff like the Honeymooners and the Lucy ep. where she has to drink the "vitameatavegamin" or eat the chocaltes off the conveyer belt as they fly by.

I think that the Happy Days finale is my favorite because it is so good and it ends the way that most people wanted it to end.
