i'm 24 years old and the other night i accidentally found silver spoons being aired on nick at nite. i started watching it and wave after wave of warm nostalgia washed over my body and mind. it in its own way, it brought back of piece of my childhood.
not only that, but i found the show to actually be funny (especially freddy, he's a riot!) and erin gray is as hot a babe as i remember her.
so the question is: am i insane?
i feel like i'm falling into this 80's nostalgia trap i had promised myself to avoid. but it's so welcoming.

Why fight it? Why not just relax and enjoy it. I'm 20, and even though it's been at least 12 or 13 years since I've seen this show in regular syndication, I was amazed at how I could remember intricate details in some of the episodes. Granted, I almost feel embarassed to be watching it when there's the usual cliched words of wisdom from the father, followed by a cheesy and corny hug and loud applause from the audience at the end of just about every episode, but it's still enjoyable to watch, for the most part.

I love nostalgia!! I've always wanted to see Silver Spoons again and finally got my chance the other night. Now I am hooked, I want to see more. Anybody have any other episodes out there? Kinda bummed I missed Different strokes too, would liked to have seen Gary dressed up like MR. T again, the only episode i really remember.

I am feeling a bit nostalgic too!!! I have been searching the internet looking for 80's related things. I loved Nick at Nite's 80s Marathon. I forgot that Freddy could breakdance!!! What memories!! I love the 80s. A few months ago I broke down and bought a Lite Brite for myself http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
