Mike Judge is in negotiations to bring the legendary Beavis And Butt-Head back in the next year on MTV. It ended in 1997 as Judge wanted to close that chapter for King Of The Hill. However, now that KOTH is rumored to be going into it's last season, the past is coming back, and with the popularity of shows like Family Guy and the eternal popularity of Simpsons and South Park, the climate is right for Beavis And Butt-Head to return. Plus the music industry in the past 3-4 years has sucked so badly that Beavis And Butt-Head are needed to let the teenyboppers filter out what sucks and what's cool, like what happened in the early 90's. People cite grunge as the death knell for hair metal, but a lot of us remember that MTV still played Winger, Warrant and Poison videos up until 1993.... until B&B came along and dismissed those bands as "wussies" and that they "sucked".

YEAH!!!!! I SOOO want Beevis and Butt-head to come back!

Cool i watch them on Mtv2 sometimes. I hope they come back.

I've rumors of the show coming back since '99 at the earliest, and each time I think it's untrue, but this looks like this is for real. The last two or three years, B&B reruns have been on MTV2 and Do America's on that channel or VH1 once in a while, so I can't wait, if everything goes well.

I don't watch "Beavis & Butthead".

I hope it's the exact same way it was.. Usually with cartoons that's been gone for a minute & brought back for years. The style changes & I hate that. The drawing or animation is different, different voice actors or the new eps aren't as good as the old ones. This has happened to Dexters Labortory,Doug,Rugrats to name a few!

That's a very good news! I can't wait to see and watch Beavis and Butthead again next year! I always laugh at that show ever since I heard and seen it.

Well, I think The-N should sound fine for Beavis and Butthead If It gets edited.

I hope it comes back! I've been dying to see new eps. of B&BH again! I just hope that if they update the animation that it doesn't get too anime-like like many other revivals did! :)

just wondering do u have any proof Beavis and Buthead are going come back and if so then when and month are they returning to Mtv.i just like some proof that all cause i have not heard nothing of it

I though that they were coming back w/ brand new eps. for a minute, considering they're not only airing on MTV, but also popping up on Comedy Central and VH1, too! :)

I went to Amazon and a lot of the reviews for it are horrible! I guess the shorts are heavily edited, and I thought in "director's cuts" there is supposed to be added footage. Before I even heard about this, I wasn't going to buy it because the music videos aren't in tact. I understand that there is a licensing issue, but I still wish there was a way to leave the videos in. That's why I'm just sticking to recording episodes off MTV2.

I hope this is really true this time, b/c the last time I heard someone saying that B&B coming back was just a hoax. However, KotH is "alledgedly" suppose to end this season, seeing as how the writers have called it quits.

I believe this "Mike Judge Collection" has scenes with B&B mocking videos, but I don't know if those scencs are from the original episodes or something that was made up for this DVD set.

I read a quick Q&A with Mike Judge this week, and he said aside from a liscensing issue that keeps them from airing the videos, a lot of artists resented being mocked by B&B, and therefore refuse to release any rights to their videos.
