Just curious.. I personally like the older season eps better than the new ones they have now. The episodes just seemed to be overall funnier.

seasons 3-8 were the best. The new episodes aren't bad, 90% of them just feel slept on

I agree. The first few seasons had more subtle wit, and at times a lot of heart.

Now it's all about drunken Homer.

The show went downhill after head writer Conan O'Brien left to do the talk show....Strange though, i find him totally UNfunny on Late Night

I think the show hit it's peak in the mid '90s. I could clearly see it going downhill around 1998.

The newer shows are sometimes hard to watch, but you at least find one good joke to laugh at.

I thought some of the episodes when the Simpsons first began were good, but the animation was ****. I liked it better when the animation was better. Either way with every simpsons episode, you're guaranteed a laugh.

i agree completely...it seemed like around season 9 they got horrible and i was begging for it to go off the air, i think they made a nice little comeback the past few seasons to the point where i look forward to the new episodes again

I thought this season premieres episode was boring. LOL Lisa afraid to sleep because of the cemetar by her house.

I liked the earlier seasons just as much, b/c despite the s***ty animation, there were a lot of things that are missing from the newer eps.

The older eps. had the Prank Calls for Moe by Bart Simpson that were HILARIOUS!

Moe: Moe's Tavern.
Bart: I'm calling for Seymour, last name Butts.
Moe: Hang on.
Moe: Is there a Seymour Butts? Everyone else laughs.

It's too bad the newer ones don't have stuff like that anymore. :(

I think if they had kept going with the prank calls, It would have gotten boring & annoying after a while. It would be nice to change some things up to spice it up with the Simpsons. I think it would be interesting if they had actually Maggie grow up a little & talk. Could make for some interesting new stories.

I like all The Episodes of The Simpsons.

I like seasons 2-8 the best. I still love it though. It has improved a bit these past couple of years. Seasons 10-12 are my least favorite.

I definately like the earlier seasons over the newer ones, but the Simpsons didn't really have its edge until seasons 2 or 3. I love 'em all, though...Simpsons will always be a classic :cool:

I personally love seasons's 3-9 the most. They really got it together back then. Don't get me wrong though, I still love The Simpsons, even at Season 17.

Some of the old ones are great but the same with the newer ones.....I love em all.

I liked the Simpsons best from the second season up to about the eighth. By the second season, they had Homer and Bart's characters well developed and funny as hell. But by the later seasons, it seemed like Homer was just a semi-abusive alcoholic instead of half-assed dad who was trying to get on with his kids.

I liked the storylines of the earleir episodes, but didn't realy like the animation and Homer's voice! Its just not as funny as when its more high pitched, like in the later episodes.

I'm not fussy though; every episode makes me laugh. Sometimes the storylines are sh*t, but other than that... cant fnd much fault with the Simpsons.

early simpsons 1 - 10 were hilarious. but when the dvds are released i refuse t buy the later ones. they arent simpsons. those new writers are hopeless and stupid. i am a massive fan of the first 10, they are funny and clever. now they have lost it. as soon as i saw season 11 i thought quit now. they are up to 18 and if possible getting worse. i cant even watch the new episodes any more, they arent simpsons. the old simpsons writers are now at futurama which is the way to go. that is awsome and im glad its back!!
