View Full Version : Perfect song for John's daughter
JackTripper258 08-26-2005, 04:45 PM Hey everybody, I was listening to "Heaven" by DJ Sammy and I found this song. It is still "Heaven" by DJ Sammy but it has a little girl of about 5 or 6 talking. It's so sad but it's ver sweet. She is talking not singing...DJ Sammy is singing "Heaven" in the background. If you have LimeWire you should search for it.
It's been a year daddy
I really really miss you
Mommy says your safe now
In a beautiful place called heaven
We had your favorite dinner tonight
I ate it all up
Even though I don't like carrots
I learned how to swim this summer
I can even open my eyes under water
Can't you see me?
I started kindergarten this year
I carry a picture of us in my Blue's Clue's lunchbox
You are the greatest daddy
I can swing on the swing by myself!
Even though I miss you pushing me
Can't you see me?
I miss how you used to tickle me
Tickle my belly
My belly hurts
I try not to cry
Mommy says it's okay
I know you don't like it when I cry
I don't know what it means to be sad (maybe she's mumbling it...i can't hear it clearly)
I try daddy but it hurts
Is it true your not coming home?
Maybe some day I can visit you in heaven okay?
It's time for me to go to bed now.
I sleep with the light on just incase you come home and kiss me goodnight
I love you so much
I miss you daddy
*many salty tears*

jackslovelady 08-27-2005, 02:46 AM Ohhhh.... MMMyyyyy.... goooooooood,
that is so sad.... you would have yo be made out of bricks not to cry or show some sort of emotion while watching that... i watched it half an hour ago... and i am still crying... they may as well have made that a video for john and used stella and amy in it, it made me feel that emotional... especially since the anniversary of johns death and September 11 are coming up, makes it even more difficult to watch.... lord i can't stop crying... i am going to go watch TC now and see if i can laugh it off!! :( :( :( :( :(

I know..it made me cry so much too. I was crying for the little girl who lost her father in the attack, and also for John's death. Every time I watch that it makes me cry so much. The little's girl voice sounds so sad and innocent. You guys should really watch this.
Number 9 Dream 08-27-2005, 10:46 PM Same here :crying:
I watched it yesterday. You posted it in a bulletin at MySpace, gosh I was crying through out the whole thing.
Terri Cardellini 08-27-2005, 10:48 PM AWWWW I remember hearing that song a LONG time ago. I haven’t watched the video yet, I'm afraid to. I’m afraid I'm gonna cry too much lol The simplest things can make me cry.
Number 9 Dream 08-27-2005, 10:56 PM You'll definately cry! It takes a lot for me to cry and I was crying!

That is definately a good song. One song that does remind me of him with his daughter(if he were still alive), is 'Butterfly kisses'. It really tugs at the heart for daughters and Fathers.
MrsRitter 08-28-2005, 11:13 AM oh my god. i hate that video. it made me cry. what really hurt was thinking about john and stella the whole time. i liked it but i hated it at the same time. he died on her birthday....:rip: <3

DADDY'S HANDS
I remember Daddy's hands
Folded silently in prayer
And reaching out to hold me
When I had a nightmare
You could read quite a story
In the callouses and lines
Years of work and worry
Had left their mark behind
I remember Daddy's hands
How they held my Mama tight
And patted my back
For something done right
There are things I've forgotten
That I loved about the man
But I'll always remember
The love in Daddy's hands
Daddy's hands
Were soft and kind when I was cryin'
Daddy's hands
Were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands
Weren't always gentle but I'd come to understand
There was always love in Daddy's hands
I remember Daddy's hands
Working til they bled
Sacrificed unselfishly
Just to keep us all fed
If I could do things over
I'd live my life again
And never take for granted
The love in Daddy's hands
Daddy's hands
Were soft and kind when I was cryin'
Daddy's hands
Were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands
Weren't always gentle but I'd come to understand
There was always love in Daddy's hands
Daddy's hands
Were soft and kind when I was cryin'
Daddy's hands
Were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands
Weren't always gentle but I'd come to understand
There was always love ............ in Daddy's hands
