Granted, it was funny watching that scene, but now I get tired of seeing him do it. Did the writers want a James Evans temper or what? Actually, no one really did anything for him to react the way that he did. At least the family didn't. They were just concerned for his health. I can see him storming off to the bedroom like he did, but was the chair necessary?

AND how did Willona know that James threw it. I remember Florida saying, "You heard, huh". The kids??

James was already pissed off when he got home and then when he does come home he has to deal with people telling him that there's something wrong with him and that he need to go to the doc. So he threw the chair LOL.

I know, the last thing anyone needs at the end of a long aggravating day is someone nagging them to go to the doctor

And wasn't Thelma nagging him about a job at McDonalds from 7 to 11? I liked James' response: "You just got fired".

Michael was scared ****less: "Ohh, I'm just jiving daddy".

Soloman, you are soooooo right. There is one thing my boyfriend told me a couple of times and I took it to heart. A man doesn't want to come home from a long day and hear nagging or hear abt the bills, etc. He just wants at LEAST AN HOUR OF PEACE. I respect him for saying that to me. He told me in a nice way, by the way, not a mean way. Same thing for me, when I have been out of the house tending to things, appts., errands, etc. the last thing I want to hear is BS!!!!! Notice in many many episodes as soon as James gets home, there is Florida or somebody telling him stuff. Remember the episode abt JJ's one man art show with Sweet Daddy Williams? As soon as James barely got one foot in the door, there was Florida running to him spewing out abt the "refrigerator". He became upset saying he didn't want to hear abt it. She could have just sat there at the table and let James see for himself what had happened. I know there are other incidents, I bet you all can post here abt those "nagging" times.

they didn't because domestic violence was a "tolerable" crime. People could get angry in them days and no one cared. Nowadays, S**T, you can even F****N cuss without the whole G**DDAM world yelling at you that you F****N need anger management. WELL KISS MY A** lol lol lol
