On the MTM Board I started "Welcome Back to WJM." I listed one ep. I figured it'd be better to make a fic in the proper board! So I've come up with a new title, same kinda idea.


Mary Tyler Moore
"Mary Returns to WJM."-

starring Ed Asner and Valerie Harper
with Gavin McLeod and Cloris Leachman
also starring Betty White and Georgia Engel.


1- "The Station Manager."- By luck, Mary, Murray, Lou and SueAnn get their jobs back. The station manager retires and a romantic interest of Mary's shows up as the new one! Mary moves back to her old place.

2- "Ted Signs Off."- After the best 11 years of Ted Baxter's life, he goes dark on September the 20th, 1977.

3- "Hurricane Mary."- A hurricane brews in the midwest and makes a witch out of good ole' reliable Mary when everything goes wrong due to it.

4- "Lou Looks On."- Lou looks for female companionship while looking for a new news anchor at the same time.

5- "Setting the Date."- Mary settles down with Dan Adams... then gets second thoughts.

6- "Rhoda's Two Cents."- Rhoda gets dumped and moves back into the apartment.

7- "Evacuation (1)."- Rhoda has to move out after just one week back at the old apartment. She is forced to live elsewhere upon the conclusion that mice are present.

8- "Evacuation (2)."- Mary wants Rhoda to room with her, feeling guilty as usual.

9- "Driving Her Crazy."- Mary drives Rhoda crazy and vice versa.

10- "Nighty, Night, Mary."- Mary gets a sudden case of insomnia due to Rhoda's moving in.

11- "Night Court."- Lou subs for a judge friend in a case, illegally.

12- "The Smugglers."- Mary, unknowlingly, smuggles cuban cigars into Minnesota.

13- "Sleep Dependancy."- Mary is addicted to prescription drugs.

14- "The Triangle."- Lou, for the money, sublets a room in his house to let Rhoda live with him. After proposing to Mary, Dan sets his eyes on Rhoda.

15- "Sunset at Dawn and Empty Wine Bottles."- Lou is in desperate need for a co-worker to help out depressed Mary,

16- "Hello, My Name Is..."- Murray suggests therapy.

17- "The Natural."- Murray's son has an arm for throwing.

18- "A Man's Pride."- Murray becomes too proud of his son.

19- "The Chinese Food."- Mary gets a lawsuit after knocking A delivery boy off his bike.

20- "Dan's Decision Day."- Dan decides to re-propose. Mary dejects him.

21- "Phyliss."- Phyliss drops by.

22- "The Breakdown."- Mary trips and hurts herself badly--- but not on the outside--- on the inside. She is hurting and needs help.

23- "Blackout Buddies."- Murray and Lou console hurting Mary.

24- "The Re-Re-Proposal and Other Sappy Stories."- Dan, after talking to Lou, re-re-proposes to Mary and she accepts.

SEASON TWO.

1- "The Five W's."- Mary writes a novel based on her experiences in Minneapolis.

2- "The Promotion."- After Lou is promoted as station manager, Mary becomes executive producer.

3- "A Murray Displaced and a Monkey."- Georgette buys a monkey for Ted and he dont like it. Murray feels out of place after the big promotion for Mary.

4- "The Not-So-Happy Happy Home-Maker."- SueAnn becomes a human twister when everything is going wrong on her show one week.

5- "A Week In Nantucket."- Mary vacations with Dan in beautiful Nantucket.

6- "Executive Producing Is Hard To Do."- Mary can't handle the newsroom.

7- "The Pushover."- Shortly after getting over her problem, Mary is pushed to the limit yet again.


8- "The Ring (1)."- Mary loses the engagement ring.

9- "The Ring (2)."- Dan calls off the wedding fearing he's made Mary too nervous.

10- "The Ring (3)."- Dan and Mary find the ring and ponder about their future.

11- "Ted Visits."- Ted wants to come back to WJM as the anchor which would mean firing the new anchor (Woody Harrelson), Woody Boyd.

12- "Woody Moves."- Woody moves with girlfriend Beth back to Indiana.

13- "Murray Wants To Leave."- Murray is offered a job as producer at another station.

14- "You Always Remember Your First."- Mary remembers her first day on the job.

15- "Phyliss Drops By."- Phyliss wants Mary to take Bess.

16- "Too Much Happens In This One..."- The title says it all- Murray stays with WJM, Ted gets his job back, Georgette raises chickens, Mary and Dan marry, honeymoon, and then lose their passports while in Mexico, so now they are stuck in Mexico! Lou enters a karaoke contest, and wins! Phyliss takes back Bess, and Howard Arnell waits for Mary at the airport, whom she, as always, of course, isn't expecting.

17- "The $26,789 Pyramid."- Murray is a contestant on the $25,000 Pyramid.
18- "The Dreaded VCR."- Mary buys a new VCR, and to go with it, (unbeknownst to her), boothleg videos.
19- "A Visit From Teach."- An old, strict teacher puts the moves on married Mary.
20- "Rhoda's Momma."- Rhoda's mom gets childhood flashbacks. guest star Nancy Walker as Ida Morgenstern.

21- "Mary's Protest."- Mary protests illegal killings of helpless animals in the wild.

22- "Newspaper Biz."- Savvy Ted Baxter goes into writing a newspaper columns with an embarassing attempt at using newspaper lingo.

23- "The Dog."- Mary buys a beautiful new dog that Dan is allergic to.

24- "Fogged."- A massive wave of foggy days affects the moods of the generally cheerful news staff.

season three-

1- "The Generalissimo."- Lou takes on another layer of gruffness to impress a higher-up who likes a good dictatorship. By the end of the episode, Lou's back to the way he was after finally being fed up by being something he wasn't and telling the higher-up off.

2- "Visitation Rights."- Murray buys illegal items from a seemingly nice guy, who turns out to be a con artist.

3- "The Portrait."- Murray is intrigued by a close to home painting with the subject being a nude Mary.

4- "The Subways."- Subways come to a screeching halt when the transit workers strike, leaving the gang with one option to get to work--- walking.

5- "Did You Feel The Earth Quake?"- A huge storm blows through the Twin Cities, wreaking havoc on the gang's work commutes.

6- "One Too Many For The Big Boss."- Lou is caught in the midst of a love triangle.

7- "Planet of the Drapes."- Rhoda's obsessive buying habits of home decor enrages Mary, who is entertaining her for the week when her apartment is fumigated after a rat problem affects the building.

8- "The House That Lars Built."- Phyliss faces a huge problem when the foundation of her building starts to creak and slowly, but surely, fall apart.

9- "The Scientist Visits Mary."- Married Mary faces temptation on a lonely weekend when she just happens to run into an old flame.
10- "Strictly Business."- Dan goes on a business trip but Mary is convinced into thinking that his motives are just the opposite when Lou talks to her.

11- "Painting Party."- Rhoda enlists Mary, Lou, Murray, SueAnn and Georgette to help her paint her drab apartment.

12- "Georgette's Love Crisis."- Georgette drops by to make a deep confession to Mary when she is convinced that Ted is impotent.

13- "Sour Grapes."- Mary's allergic reaction to fruit gets her admitted into a hospital with her previous "roomie" from 8 1/2 years before.

14- "Ted."- Ted hosts the Teddy awards, and makes a scene there when he is convinced that he has not won an award--- when his was being saved for surprise (and was most prestigious)! (Thus making him a complete jackass, as per usual)

15- "Father Ted."- Ted thinks he got "the call" for priesthood. He soon finds out that he's not meant for it.

16- "Say AAHHHHHHHHH..."- A date with a cute dentist friend makes SueAnn ponder marriage.

17- "Betting On The Horsies."- A child wants Mary to make a bet for him.

18- "Would You Like A Lollipop?"- A young businessman is confused for a schoolboy, a client of Lou's. The client wants to take his business elsewhere upon hearing vicious comments as issued by Ted, SueAnn, and Murray, angering Lou to no limits (after all, this client was the bulk of the support of the company)!

19- "Butterflies In My Stomach."- Dan makes an ass of himself at a business meeting.

20- "Tu Speako El Spanish?"- Ted wants to become fluent in Spanish so he can visit Spain on a newscasters convention.

21- "Burnin' Down The House."- Mary's apartment goes up in flames in the care of a stupid teenage son of the manager's, making Mary angry to the limit where she sues and takes the kid to court!

22- "New Quarters."- Mary buys a house with Dan, after receiving a new "lease on life" when the apartment burns down. Mary drops charges.

23- "Lou's Last Fling."- Lou gets handcuffed to a female cop after chaos takes over at a local bar.

24- "Murray And The Sleepover."- Murray hosts a birthday sleepover for his teenager.

season four


1- "A Mary Snubbed."- Mary's old facial tick surfaces, making Murray, Lou and Ted snub her of an offer to be taken to the upcoming Teddy Awards.

2- "The Cliff."- A marital spat leads Ted to an edge of the tallest cliff in the United States.

3- "The Big Story."- Ted misses the biggest story of the century when he goes on vacation.

4- "I'm A Believer."- Mary convinces Rhoda that she will get a date offer within twenty-four hours; Murray and Lou scheme to form a business venture of an order-by-mail type.

5- "Murray Gets The Business."- A mobster considers hiring Murray, but Murray just wants to know what's going on; Georgette hires Ted a chauffeur.

6- "The Producers."- The newsroom is temperarily taken over by a confidant youngster out to prove he owns the station; Mary rebels.

7- "The Tryst."- Lou attempts to patch things up with married Edie.

8- "Mary's Dates."- A misunderstood phone message leaves three-dozen suitors waiting to take Mary out to dinner.

9- "Lou's Impaired Vision."- Lou tells Mary a secret out of trust that she blabs to Rhoda, 1/2 asleep.

10- "Ted and Georgette, Together Again."- Georgette is fed up with being the "Yes, dear" kind-of-wife.

11- "Ted's Letdown."- When Ted finally gets through a session of the news without one mistake, Lou is convinced that something is wrong.

12- "Extraordinary People."- Mary turns the tables on her needy husband; Lou suggests he tries to see the good in people after experiencing a night in the life of Mary.

13- "Yet Even More Facts Of Life."- Bess returns to Mary for more help when she is confused about sex, again.

14- "Laying Down The Law."- Dreaming Lou fantasizes a work-day with ease.

15- "The Concert."- An inspired paraplegic asks Mary's help in enlisting him in a Minneapolis Talent Show sponsored by an old friend's agency.

16-18- "Being Mary Richards."- Confused Mary asks Lou how he get his job; Mary tries for an opening in management; Ted temporarily resigns; SueAnn enters a dancing contest and loses a sacred recipe to a stranger who's her pickpocketing partner.

19- "Back to Normal."- Mary's parents interrupt the newsroom's newfound sense of normality; Rhoda's mother is ashamed of her unmarried daughter.

20- "The Letter."- A vicious letter to the President of the United States is signed in Mary's name; Mary soon learns that Lou had forged her name when she disagreed to sign the letter that would give more rights to newsmen; Mary has a falling out with Lou and looks for a new job.

21- "Lou Says 'I'm Sorry.'"- Lou introduces his hidden feelings for Mary to Murray, not knowing Mary is in the background--- "Murray, I can't eat, sleep, drink, or even write a damn news show anymore. What I did to Mary is unforgiveable and I'll never forgive myself. (cries) I'll never respect myself as long as I live again; I took the name of one of my most favorite people in the world and used it for my own selfish needs. Murray, she was like a daughter to me; I can't live without her in my life. (cries heavily)"

22- "Mary and Lou Make Amends."- Mary and Lou make-up and Mary resumes her newsroom duties after ridding of her many jobinterviews.

23- "The Six Day Lunch."- A lunch break yields a week of absence from the newsroom on Ted's part, forcing Mary's ex-boyfriend, Howard Arnell, to do the news! (On air, he proclaims his love for Mary!)

24- "Illegally Yours."- Mary learns that her husband was an illegal alien who needed to marry fast or be deported; they are not legally married.

25- "Mary Regroups."- Mary's spiritual sense develops more than ever when she realizes that everywhere she ends up is all part of fate's many confusing plans.

26- "Miracle Coffee."- Murray's insomnia leads to a breakthrough discovery that makes plants grow by pouring a special coffee in them!

Season Five


1- "Mary's October Eve."- Mary Richards meets Laura Petrie, who were both victims of being painted nude.

2- "Lou and Pity."- When the gang sympathises with a depressed Lou, he's convinced they like him better in the gutter.

3- "Mary and the Suit."- Mary attempts amends with an old boyfriend, who called off a proposed marriage, then ends up in court with the ex-beau!

4- "Wes Takes Over."- Ted grows green with envy after losing a basketball game bet to his entrepreneuring, more-successful brother; Lou offers Rhoda a job at the station, thinking she's just what it needs.

5- "New Yawk, New Yawk."- Rhoda and her boyfriend have different views on whether Rhoda should take the job; Mary is jealous of her best friend who's been offered her old job.

6- "Rhoda The Horrible."- Mary loses hours of sleep when Rhoda calls constant group meetings at the station at early hours.

7- "Old McMary Had A Farm."- Lou recalls his owning a bar; Ted buys a new wardrobe; Georgette attempts deceiving Ted; Mary's new beau enchants her into buying a farm with him!

8- "Old McMary Disowns A Farm--- Ee, Ay, Eee, Ay, O."- Mary hates the farm she purchased and decides country-living (and the boyfriend who settles for it) isn't for her.

9- "The St. Paul Globetrotters."- A naive boy falls for SueAnn, the happy homemaker; Murray gets too wrapped up in his son's sporting career; Lou tours the Vikings' locker room to get an old buddy's pen back to him; Mary's new boyfriend seeks thrills more often than Mary.



10- "The Term Paper."- Bess struggles meeting a due date deadline for a term paper that will shape her school-career destiny.

11- "Rhoda and the Board."- Rhoda moves quickly and successfully up the workplace ladder.

12- "Jealousy Betwixt Friends."- Rhoda tests her relationship with Mary when she uses her superiority as a weapon.

13- "She Cuts You Once..."- Marie and Murray's late-night joust leaves him on Mary's couch for the evening.

14- "I Wonder."- Lou reconsiders his religious practices after a life-altering experience occurs.

15- "Mary, The Model."- A modeling agency wants Mary as a professional model--- which would mean giving up the newsroom.
