No. To what I have seen...they decided to just be friends.

You are partially correct. After the big kiss in Central Park at the end of season eight, most "Night Court" fans were screaming "It's about time!" However, the first part of the two part season nine opener had them both confused about their feelings for one another. After Christine returns from leaving her "kidnapper" Dan, her first stop his Harry's office. It is here where they tell each other that they've given their current status some thought. Christine is the first to speak saying. "I don't want to be your girlfriend." Harry responds uncharacteristically happy, " And I don't want to be your boyfriend." They say they "like" each other instead of "love" each other and shake hands. Harry hugs her saying they were, "Young and foolish." At this point most fans booed the tv screen. The only redemption was the final episode when Christine is elected to Congress and it's her last night as attorney. She's talking with Harry in his chambers mentioning all the stupid things she's going to miss about the place. Then she leaves Harry's chambers to "watch them scrape the gum from the gallery benches one last time". Harry sits at the edge of his desk pretty much broken-hearted because she didn't mention him. Two seconds later Christine breezes back in saying, "To hell with the gum. I'm gonna miss you the most." They kiss one final time and hug. That ended the scene. After that fans screamed at their tv screens because Dan quit his job because he was going to pursue Christine much to the dismay of Harry...and Harry and Christine advocates.

But had season eight been the last season...it was a fact that Harry and Christine WERE going to get together. The USA Today back in '91' reported that their characters were to marry. I would have rathered this than the lousy season nine that was put together! Not only that...I would have won a bet.
