There should be a spin-off about SVU's Detective Elliot Stabler who is asked to join the Witness Protection Agency, after a lethal convict, who killed seven people for no reason, makes numerous threats Elliot and his family's lives and escapes custody. Elliot and his wife, Kathy decide to relocate with their four children: 17-year-old Maureen, 15-year-old Kathleen, and 12-year-old twins Elizabeth and Dickie. The Stabler family leaves Queens, New York and is asked to move to Denver, Colorado. Kathy gets a new nursing job at a Denver hospital, and the newly up-rooted children are unhappy about relocating and going to a new school. Elliot is strongly adviced by Kathy and his friends back from SVU. Elliot decides to go back to school to study law, where he unintentionally bumps into former SVU's ADA Alex Cabot, who was also sent into the WPA a few years ago. Alex is a teacher's aide for one of the professors at the same college where Elliot is attending. Elliot, Kathy, and the Stabler kids invite Alex over for dinner one night, where they learn Alex's roommate (a fellow twentysomething law student) is getting on her nerves and pushing her to the max. Kathy and Elliot offer the idea of Alex moving in with the Stablers for a while until she gets back onto her feet and can find a new place, she accepts the generous offer. After Alex moves in with the Stabler family, Kathy learns Alex is a big help around the household, the Stabler children think of Alex as a "big sister", and Elliot has someone to bond with over their time back when they were in SVU.
