Why does everyone hate this movie? I for one happen to like this movie. It has a good plotline and great footage. A good story and it continues the story from the first one, it has a very understandable story, but everyone is saying how they LOOOVE the first one, the third one, and the beginning but they hate Exorcist II: The Heretic. Why is this?

I found it extremely boring.

I just never cared for it. I never saw part3 or the beginning so I can't comment on them. The first one was a classic though.

Weren't there several different cuts of this film? The test-market audiences laughed at the original print so they had to do some drastic re-editing. That might be the reason why the movie's story seems boring and bit screwed up. It was nice to see Dana Plato as the little girl that couldn't talk. It hard to believe DP was the original choice to play Reagan in the first movie, but her mother decided she didn't want her to do it.

I found it to be boring and just plain bizarre. It's sorta like Jaws: The Revenge. One sequel I try to put out of my mind. :lol:
