Guys,
This is one of the best episodes of the series where a strict teacher (played chillingly realistically by Richard Basehardt) is hired by the school board to replace Ms. Beedle after several instances of unruly behavior in her classroom. The teacher, Mr. Applewood, runs the classroom with an iron hand and develops a strong disdain to Laura. Hallmark Channel's showing of this episode, like all LHOTP episodes has been edited. Missing scenes are:
1.) Where the Oleson's invite Mr. Applewood to dinner and Harriot says that Laura is a troublemaker. Nels tries to stop her, but to no avail.
2.) Longer lines from Mr. Applewood about their being a discipline problem in the classroom as he is giving out his classroom rules/expectations.
For anyone who has the DVD and therefore can see this episode uncut, can you tell us what else is missing when compared to Hallmark Channel's version?
Also, what was the "little talk" that Charles had with Laura when she askes, "Did I do something wrong Pa?" and he says, "Oh no, we are gonna do something right." Hallmark cuts away there.
This is a great episode! Thanks for your help!
