I BELIEVE THAT HONOR SHOULD GO TO JENNILEE HARRISON.

As much as I despise Jennilee Harrison's acting, she belonged on the cover. But I guess the covers are made by who is in the opening scenes. We all know for whatever reason that Jennilee wasn't added to the opening credits until Terri came.

While Jenilee was more in S5 than Suzanne, it makes good marketing if Suzanne is on the cover. Jenilee could still be on the cover for the case, so not all is lost.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !!!!!!

that's what it comes down to why ss is on the cover. if harrison is on the cover it might hurt dvd sales considering her character was not well liked. i'm sure it ran across their brains that having ss on the cover will produce more sales. besides you couldn't have had harrison with ss on the cover anyways, they never co-existed on the show.

But why would she be on the cover if she was only in ONE episode? I would say she doesn;t belong on the cover

Oh, and you know what would be a nice picture to use as long as they're using Suzanne on the cover? A picture of her stabbing John in the back. :(

look i agree that jenilee probably deserves to be on the cover. but let me reinterate........her popularity was less than desirable. its all about the $$$$$$$$$$$. ss will sell more dvds just because she on the cover. it all comes down to marketing 101.
let me give you an example...... the 86 red sox al championship team video is released....the stars of the team are on the cover(clemens, boggs, rice , etc).
do you think the red sox pr department would dare have bill buckner on the cover. no #$%@#$ way. red sox fans would shiver just looking at the cover with iron glove on it. now that might be an extreme example, but i think you get my drift.

She does, as much as its not a likable choice, she does. She was still 3rd billed, she was still appearing in the show, and if they didn't put her on the cover it would basically be rewriting history. If some sort of Three's Company merchandise was released back in 1980 during the dispute, Suzanne would have been on it, so it seems some what fair she is now.

They should've used the technology to put both Suzanne and Jenilee because Suzanne was still in the credits and was in the tag scenes of some episodes and Jenilee became the new roomate during the season.Isn't it weird that they forgot about Chrissy by the 6th season when they were doing a good luck in college party for Cindy and calling Chrissy asking if they she wanted to come back home since Cindy was moving out?Actually it was a relief to me because Terri was the better looking blonde :D

It is ALL MONEY & Marketing! Smart Actually, WE all know the real deal, but they are hoping average fans-non fans will just buy it without knowing thats when Suzanne started showing her greedy real personality.

I think it is really tacky how you are all ragging on Suzanne. She was an asset to the show and a lot of people (myself included) found her to be the funniest one on Three's Company. To still be bitter and nasty towards her because of something that happened 25 years ago is insane. Suzzane has admited that she made a mistake and besides, she just wanted to make a similar salary to what leading men were making in those days. People were hurt and things got ugly but that was almost three decades ago. Let it go.

Agreed, plus other cast members and the producers (ESPECIALLY the producers) were hardly saint-like in their doings while on the show.

I totally agree with you and *would* support this to the Nth degree, but I've been put off by Suzanne by her recent actions. She insisted that the only way she'd ever participate in the DVDs (as far as extras go, whether it be with interviews or paying respects to John) is if she received a lot of $$ to do so. Everyone else from the cast has done this for nothing. Even Anne Wedgeworth (Lana), who basically had a very bad experience with the show, actually flew half way across the country so she could have the *honor* of being included as one of those cast members who paid respect to John. She actually LOST money since she had to pay for an actual plane ticket. And yet she, along with everyone else, sat down and said a few kind words about John, and her bank account was none the better for having done so.

Suzanne has the right, I guess, to want whatever amount of money she wants, but I'm still turned off by it nonetheless. I can't help thinking that, had she lost her battle with cancer a couple of years ago, John (and Joyce) would've spoken about her in a very positive, affectionate way, and wouldn't have wanted a dime for doing so no matter what the venue (be it a DVD or TV special/interview).

I don't know. I am not trying to dog her or anything. Like I said, she definitely has the right to do what she did, but it still smacks of poor taste, like she's trying to profit off of the fans desire to hear her speak a few kind words about John (and share a memory or two) on the DVDs. After all the soul searching that she *supposedly* did with her father's alcoholism, I expected differently of her. I read one of her books and I got the impression that she was very intelligent, which was a given of course, but that she also had 'learned' what really mattered in life. She seemed very grounded and very spiritual, like she was in touch with the universe and the grand scheme of things. Then something like this happens where she's willing to publicly pay her respects on a DVD, but it will have to come at a price nonethele$$. It's just so disappointing, that's all.

Seems *she's* the one who hasn't changed in almost three decades...

Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. I'm hardly convinced that is the reason Suzannne is not on the DVDs. And if it is, it is her decission not to get involved with it since it ended so ugly in the past. Maybe she just doesn't want to revisit that place. I am just trying to give her the benefit of the doubt because, I'm sorry, but none of us here truely know the whole story. And Suzanne has already done countless interviews in memory of John. And I assume she didn't get a dime from that. So it is NOT like she refuses to speak about John's legacy unless money is involved.... When I first heard John Ritter passed away, Suzanne was the first cast member to publicly say a few words about how wonderful he was, etc.

As far as the DVD participation is concerned, it IS fact. Chris Mann was the one who alerted everyone on the board about it because I had speculated that Suzanne was not allowed to participate. I was in her corner, ready to defend her, thinking that she was being kept away. That wasn't the case however. And yes, it was THE Chris Mann who wrote the book about the show and who has been involved in the DVD preparations and commentaries.

In one word does Susanne belong on the cover of season 5 with all that she caused, nope! Let her complain all she wants. I think that with all that she caused, that Jennille Harrison deserves it more.

Oh boy, have you got to learn a few things about show biz and about that woman. She's talented, and I used to respect her, but no more. One of the best people in the world dies, and she won't pay a tribute to him if she's not paid an ample amount to just say 'I miss him.', which is far from the truth. All those interviews that she did was simply because she got paid for it. She can give a **** about John's passing, which in my opinion, THAT is whats of bad taste. How dare she not pay tribute to such a brilliant man who was so good to her during his too short of a life, money or not.

I just figure that the cover of Season 5 is as accurate as the cover of Season 1 is. (John, Joyce and Suzanne looked NOTHING like that in Season 1!).

I think Jenilee should have a turn for the cover because this is the only season she might get a chance. This one and Season 6 (but that's Priscilla's bright and shining debut season :D lol ). Suzanne already had 4 shots at the cover I think they should let someone else in the spotlight for a change. it's bad enough Jenilee wasn't given enough credit when the show aired, but now she should at least get credited for being there.

Terri Cardellini

You're right I think Don should be on the cover too. If you think fans wouldn't mind Priscilla and Jenilee sharing the "spotlight" together on the cover of season 6, then what's wrong with Suzanne and Jenilee sharing the cover for Jenilee's debut season and the season she made the most appearances in? zif Priscilla has to share why doesn't Suzanne?

Janet Bower
09-19-2005, 10:40 PM
Ya I have to agree with Jen....Jenilee was in this season more than Suzanne...and Joyce and John should be on EVERY cover! They are the only two roommates to last the whole series!! and Jenilee did as best as she could taking Suzanne's place! She deserves some credit!

I honestly don't care who appears on the season 5 cover as long as it has original trio. If they can fit additional characters on the cover such as Jenilee, then that's an extra bonus. If they can't, then I guess tough cookies.

so wait do u honestly think that the original trio should be on every dvd or wat?!?!

The poster was clearly talking about the original trio being on the cover of Season 5, not every season. It wouldn't make sense for the original trio to grace every cover post-Season 5 since, not only was Suzanne/Chrissy not a part of those seasons (except in the Lucille Ball retrospective in Season 6), but Janet's hairstyle was different as well.

So? What point are you trying to make? I said it wouldn't make sense for the original trio to be on every cover after Season 5 since not only is Suzanne not included after Season 5 but Joyce's hair is different as well. This was an acknowledgement that is was different in Season 7 since I was including ALL seasons after Season 5. No correction need be made, thanks.
